LHR-EDI 1635 departure non meat afternoon tea. Ok. I'm not veggie but this sounded more interesting than another coronation chicken, smoked salmon etc. Cake more moist than it looked. I should have abandoned the scone and just put my clotted cream on the cake!

Band 1 chicken salad. Was going to pick the veg poke but that looked like a lot of white rice with minimal protein etc.

Unfortunately, the inconsistent responses imply (to me) that BA doesn't have a system to categorise or consolidate the received complaints.

The chances of someone acting on them - as they must therefore appear as individual comments - is close to none.

Does anyone know different?

At your age I am far from surprised. What amazes me is that anyone other than BA would invite you to tea. As for Polk Bowl, my ingenue side decline to answer anything to do with poking,as,I,am sure that it must be reprehensible.

I wouldn't put it past them to be more "generous" to holders of Executive Club with status.

I remember when I was Gold I tweeted to BA about the state of the LHR lounge and a staff member came board the plane to discuss it and apologize etc. 😂

Domestic LHR ABZ afternoon tea.

Menu to ABZ last Friday. I didnt actually take anything, but sipped champagne until landing. Good crew - they apologised for serving afternoon tea after a late take off meant it was after 5pm.

Marrakesh to LHR.

Excellent flight back from RAK. Managed to nab 1A and 1C in 12 rows of CE. (14 on the way out). Flight was made more complicated for the crew because the LGW service was cancelled so they tried to get as many people in this one which meant they were eight meals short. Brilliant crew though who worked really hard and kept me topped up with alcohol such that Mrs Salad had to drive home!

The lamb was ok, a little overdone but not too bad. Mrs Ss vegetarian curry was actually the nicer of the two though its no secret that curry dishes are the easiest to get right in the air.

The RAK airport experience I was quite impressed with. The Fast Track security and immigration was very swift and having been led to believe that in the Oasis lounge wed be lucky to get a stale sandwich, I was quite impressed with the range of food on offer. Approximately 12 ft from the departure gate too so all in all it was perfect.

Bless you, its a poke (poh kay) bowl, poking is what I do to you when you fall asleep with your mouth open and dentures have dropped.

When I hear complaints about “ Eurobusiness” (&#128580 and I won’t pay that - clearly there are plenty that do. There were 44 of us last night. The crew served the meal with drinks right behind. They were extremely well organised and extremely pleasant. The choices were

Chicken Tikka which was very spicy we were were warned or Cod with Fennel and potatoes. The potatoes were not totally cooked we thought. There was also a chicken salad. The fish still had a peppery taste but was not bad. It was accompanied by fennel which I adore and which perfumes the fish. The crew were back at the galley after 1 hour 7 minutes and did not stop offering drinks the whole flight. All in all, it was far from bad. The Champagne was Nicolas Feuillatte. My husband was on sparkling water as he had to drive on arrival, bless him. The lentil starter was delicious The dessert was not.

Rock Bottom or close to it

Breakfast, JER-LGW, today.
Only 4 rows of CE, with 2 very good CC looking after the cabin. Before push-back the SCCM came round taking breakfast orders. “Sausage Roll?” … no option existed. Beverage order taken at the same time, and delivered soon after the CC unstrapped. The Sausage Roll followed shortly, and as the photo shows came unadorned by Cutlery, Napkin or indeed anything else to consume. Later conversation with the SCCM elicited the explanation that they run this sector with only 3 CC. Why that should prevent the aforementioned Sausage Roll being placed on a pre-loaded tray with Fruit Salad, Granary Bar and Cutlery eludes me.

Pared back to the minimum.
