Kung Pao chicken (I had it, very nice, quite spicy in that it actually tasted of chillies unlike usual British food labelled as spicy but isn’t). A veg option that I dismissed (veg “sausage”?) and poached salmon salad (OH’s choice, which he pronounced pleasant but unremarkable and “why do they put all the dressing underneath everything?”). Trays also contained a risoni pasta with tomato and sour cream car crash, cheese & roll/crackers (with a nice, sweet chutney) and the usual nasty, synthetic dessert in a pot. Why is it that they can’t produce a proper dessert?
I saw Champagne but didn’t have it (Castelnau), all the usual bar suspects were available and offered freely by an attentive crew. Then came the Lindt balls 🤤. Very happy with everything but the dessert, which seems to be the pattern for me.
