A somewhat disappointing offering on a recent LHR-LCA flight. Despite being Band 4, the menu was identical to last week's (Band 3) KEF, with the well-worn Welsh wyna ​​wheeled out (wh)once again. For a 4.5 hour flight I'd really be hoping for a bit more.



To add insult to injury, the trays were served sans dessert. At first I thought the CC had perhaps forgotten to add them. When I went to the galley the IFM rather sheepishly admitted Do&Co must have messed up. The trolley only contained 2 random, trayless trifles for a cabin of 24!

I cheekily asked if I could have one of the 2 and was duly offered it by the IFM. But it makes you wonder; if I'd not asked, I have a nagging feeling that it would have been become part of the crew meal! Certainly no-one else was offered the other one - not even the Gold sitting next to me. Nor did the IFM make any announcement or comment.

There were a few other minor niggles and frustrations that made it a below average experience overall.
