Mains were a choice of "chicken curry" (unspecified), mushroom and leek pie, or trout salad.
This is also the Band 4 lunch, though with the addition of cheese and crackers.

Agreed, the LHR B2 afternoon tea is one of my favourite meals anywhere on BA. Ive been known to choose an earlier flight just for that (sorry Pucci).

It would be better if you could swap the mini sandwich selection provided for one of the Tom Kerridge ones from BOB - certainly more substantial ?

Or just offer the (CW) charcuterie plate or the ploughman’s as a choice with afternoon tea in CE…

Worry not, Petal. To err is human, to forgive Divine.

What I will say is this. This is an apology for a tea I agree with all of you suggesting the Ploughmans/Charcuterie plate. I think that when well done an English Afternoon Tea is sublime. However you need properly proportioned sandwiches and not these pathetic little tired little dainty mouthfuls. A fresh warm scone is excellent, but these ghastly drop scones would give Mary Berry heart seizure. As I have already said, with better ingredients and product the meal would be sought after rather than

I mean how appetising does this look? Ive given better to the dog.

Would you be very happy to receive it on a flight with a blocked time of 2hrs 40 departing at 4:30pm?

Sweetheart - et alles - tell me that I am wrong - but would a Band 2 (max band for the Tea to be dished up) last that long? Which is the longest Band 2 route? OPO? VCE?.ALC?

I am not picking holes in the sentiment as I happen to agree - but I think that 2 hours 40 is a lot for a Band 2. I'm one for blaming for what they do - not what they do not do.

I wonder if they will put a mince pie rather than that nasty cheap apology for a cake for the Christmas season? If they did, I would bet it being the cheapest available rather than Waitrose or Marks even if BA was in bed with them at one time.

and here now will follow

business travellers will be relying on this as there only meal for the rest of the day

business travellers wont have time to get anything else substantial before arriving at the hotel before bed

business travellers with a day full of meetings will be relying on a full meal and dont have time to eat before or later
