BA 2656 LGW - ALC 11th October.
This flight was rather amazing for two things. Firstly, we had exactly the same meal on the ALC-LGW last Tuesday. No complaints from me. I had Cottage Pie and doused it with Worcestershire Sauce. (One day someone will explain to me why it it is pronounced Worcester). The starter rejoices in the name of Ancient Grain salad. Maybe they get them from a museum? The crew worked their socks off as we had 40 in Club. Top offs were abundant and we nearly ran out of Champagne. That fate worse than death was averted and my pearls did not need to be clutched. My husband had a Burger in the LGW Flounge and I intend to write to BA why Gatwick is so better catered in its Flounge than Heathrow. There were no Bagels or Currry. Maybe that’s all they know how to cook?
Finallly the next amazing thing was that we pushed on the dot and arrived 15 minutes early. Wonders will never cease.
