It might have been something like that. I’ve never partaken of anything pickly or chutney’y or anything along those lines, so I couldn’t identify it.

Yes, I, too, wondered what it was doing up there. Maybe to discourage Business Class travellers from eating with their fingers, should anyone be inclined to do so? 🤔

My guess is, to stop the bread drying out / curling up whilst they sit for several hours under their plastic lids.

Is this a new enhancement in CE? Requested special meal for both my recent flights, neither loaded and crew had no information.

LHR - DUB evening snack.

Ploughman's lunch which was quite nice. Crew were excellent probably one of the best flights in a while. Got a can of festive Brewdog to take home for a mate of mine .

Would you be happy if you ordered a Ploughman's Lunch in a Pub and got served that ?
Is there a shortage of Scotch Eggs that has slipped under the radar ?

And a bit of cheddar would’ve been appropriate, too…

Just wondering, and apols if I’ve missed a picture, but is the above actually called a Ploughman’s on menus or paperwork anywhere?

Because it looks identical to the (non-breakfast version) charcuterie plate I last had a few months back, and I wondered if it’s one of those where a crew member has invented their own name for it, in the absence of menus/reading up.

I recall a sliced pork salad over the summer described as ‘turkey’ by way of an example…

BA886 LHR-OTP 5th Dec
Christmas is officially in full swing [apologies for big pics]

To be honest, the Christmas dinner was pretty good. Although they clearly got a good deal in the cabbage - there was loads of it under the turkey too.
