BA679 IST-LHR A great meal but another very odd crew. The chickpea and sweet potato curry which was excellent and tasted much better than it looked or sounded. Most people went for roast chicken; I forget the third option. Overall, a very enjoyable meal.

No snack basket again, and once more nothing offered for the rest of the flight after the meal; are the snack baskets now officially gone? I'm 0/3 on Band 4 flights this month.



For my pre-meal drink I asked for a tonic water and was handed a 150ml Schweppes can and an empty glass. No nuts or ice etc. Not a huge issue, though I would have asked for ice if the charmless young male crew member had been looking at me at any point in this interaction. Asked for the same drink with the meal, and was handed another can. At this point I did ask for ice (to which he replied "Eh?!" presumably in place of "pardon?") which was fetched from the galley in a separate glass. I had to press the call bell to get the third tonic water, which was back to the solitary can. I will cut young crew a lot of slack for errors of inexperience, but there are some things no amount of training will fix. And the IFL was absent throughout.
