I don't believe the cod that was served with mushy peas (the peas and cod that passeth understanding, so to speak) has been noted. This was the outbound selection on BA890 last week.
I didn't photograph it, and I didn't come close to ordering it. I noted that people seemed to enjoy the cod but the peas often went back. The term mushy peas is of course derived from the French expression, "pois mouch
és", literally "peas from the handkerchief (or mouchoir)" and the etymology does put me off rather.
The alternative was a tofu curry which looked rather good, and a very dry chicken salad in a sort of coronation sauce (below) which I had a couple of times on the later rotations.
