BA 893 SOF-LHR 1st Jul 2024

This flight was delayed 1 hr 40 mins due to ATC restrictions caused by thunderstorms over Easter Europe. The Skipper showed me the route map and this storm activity was very apparent. The IFL turned on the ovens three times as each time they had to be stopped as the delay rolled on.

The menu had hot spice so that was out. How they call seven spice British is beyond me. I had the Rigaton which is of course Another British Culinary Classic. It was delicious. I would have chosen it anyway as pasta is one thing that can be reheated over and over and it does not spoil. Due to the delay, there was not a lot of ice that had not melted, but enough for numerous refills of drinks offered by the lovely crew
