A 16:30 departure meant afternoon tea, which I always feel slightly cheated about on a Band 2 flight where hot meals are on offer for the rest of the day. 5 rows of CE today, with both afternoon tea trays and drinks hand run from the galley. Warm scones followed from a basket.
Without menus (not provided on Band 1 and 2 flights outside the UK), I would guess at the three sandwiches being a) goat's cheese and fig, b) coronation chicken and cream cheese, and c) salmon mousse. None were great - I've certainly had better CE afternoon teas.
The vegetarian alternative sandwiches (not shown here) were also sampled and were similar in quantity and quality to their meat cousins.

A whopping 12 rows of CE (the maximum on an A320) meant both afternoon tea trays and drinks service was from the trolley, with warm scones from a basket. It was nice to get a welcome by name from the Inflight Lead.
The sandwiches looked oddly familiar (although I think there was something different accompanying the cream cheese this time), and made me wonder whether the cabin crew were using up outbound options at the front of the cabin. A larger pot of clotted cream than the outbound flight.
A pre-ordered Kosher special meal (not shown here) was also sampled and comprised two wraps and a sandwich slice, a cake and macaron, and a scone. The wrap / sandwiches were much more substantial at perhaps twice the size of a regular portion.
