Band 4 breakfast ex-LGW. Hindu meal (HNML).

Band 4 breakfast ex-LGW. Hindu meal (HNML).

Always seeking a breakfast that's not eggs, this ticked that box. While it was rather too grain-focused for my liking (I'd much prefer a curry or saag), it was quite flavourful with a decent amount of spice. I'm not sure what exactly the middle thing was - similar to semolina. Soft pakora type thing on the left, lentils on the right.

No pastries were pro-actively offered to me, but I asked for and got a pretty decent croissant from the basket. Also asked for some spare butter as the meal came with sunflower spread - I guess it also doubles as a vegan meal. The purple dessert, again not sure quite what it was, seemed non-dairy too. It was tasty.

Service on this flight was friendly but sadly very slow. The crew didn't seem rushed off their feet but also didn't have much urgency. It was 1h15 before I got my special meal, and even longer for the trolley to reach the back with regular meals. Drinks were topped up but it was a little sporadic.

Here’s also the regular menu for reference. Full English and charcuterie ran out. Cheese omelettes left, I didn't see that dish but crew said it was very nice.
