I've not had the pleasure of the new catering until this week.
Prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella with peas, sundried tomato, and tiny rye croutons (I think?). A small dish of zucchini. Chocolate mousse with orange shavings
Chicken tikka with yogurt, salad, and pomegranate seeds. The small dish tasted of a tuna pate. Lemon something with graham crumble topping. Roasted peeled almonds in the bag.
The chicken meal was substantial and had a fair amount of flavour. We had three options available on the flight. The other two were vegetarian meals. One with cheese and salad something that looked really good. The other I believe was a pumpkin and quinoa something.
I can't recall the alternative for my first flight.

Chicken was nice, but the potatoes were underdone and the sauce had partly split.

I take it the menus from LHR should swap tomorrow. With (Wednesday 2nd October) being first of new menus?
Does anyone know what the Band 3/4 meals or menu it’s likely to be from the pattern? It’s the from outstation (MAD) I’m interested in, not so much ex-LHR, although I guess one leads to the other.
Thanks.

New band 4 menu which started on Oct 02 (I flew B2B LHR-SOF-LHR):
Eggs were a bit solid. Overall was a lot of food to eat.
I had the pasta, but my neighbour had the fish and it looked good.
Pasta option

Last minute change of flight and found myself in row 8 with only the afternoon tea sandwiches left. I still thoroughly dislike that option but also thought the quality of this iteration was quite a bit lower than when they introduced the new version which had fancy breads etc. This one was pretzels presented but all three breads were hard and stale. Left most of the ghastly thing and still wish there were more alternatives.
for the record, I do know many people love afternoon tea and it is a concept many foreigners love as quintessentially English, so can fully see why it would’ve a great option for some, but definitely not for me, and the ploughman (which had run out anyway) is very repetitive with nothing ever changing.
