LHR-LYS, Jan 2020 – Band 1 Lunch



Described as an egg and bean salad, which sounds a lot less appealing than it actually was. I’m fairly sure this is the same generic mustardy sauce that’s being used under other salads, but overall it was reasonably tasty and with a lovely splash of colour compared with some of the uninspired brown meals I've been served over the years!

... and speaking of brown meals, my goodness, this was odd. Described by the crew as an omelette, it consisted of two weird waffles (potato? other?) and two thin slices of cooked egg with some tomato in between them. There was also a layer of overcooked cheese underneath it all. I ate most of it because I was hungry but I feel slightly queasy at the sight of it now!
