Now that "enjoy your menu" has finally gone, I can return to moaning about the "dining offer" in the CCR. When you let marketing people publish things without checking...

Right, that’s it, I’m off.
I can put up with un-contactable contact centres, sloppy school dinners in CE, lukewarm Champagne and shambolic priority boarding. But having to use the same knife for my main and my bread roll is the last straw. Really, the barbarians are half-way over the gate.
😉😁

Awful. Although I only upgraded for some TPs so wasn't expecting a culinary feast.

I had the cheese and ham version on the first flight down from Newcastle on Wednesday morning. Mine looked as it had been run over, and then the truck had reversed to make sure it was properly mangled.

Talking of grease and J-cloths; on a recent flight to Malta the crew had placed the hot meal on top of the pat of butter, which had then melted and was soaked up by the J-cloth, to the extent that it looked as though it had been used to wash a sink full of dirty dishes.

Haven’t scrolled back that far to check if anybody was posting meals for Citflyer out of LCY - but here is last nights offering on the 17.05 service to AMS.
Starter was chicken / sweet corn / celery and a few other bits with a small amount of what seemed like the sauce from the main CE chicken lunch being served currently
Main was Prawn and Lentils (the large thing in the middle of the plate was actually a slice of lemon that had been burnt!)
Dessert was awful, so I skipped it
On the plus side, the crew member serving CE was excellent and even offered pre-departure drinks to the 4 of us in CE (depressingly low loads on the service for a Friday evening)

Anyone know the current band 4 (or I guess band 2-4 now) rest of day options?
Off to Sofia next week and don’t fancy the KSML both ways.

I’m hazarding a guess at tomato pasta or sausage and mash. Both ways. Would love to be proved wrong.

In recent days it has been a turkey and mushroom pie or a pea and ricotta ravioli. Most people prefer the sound of the former, but I have to say I find the pasta more consistent (plus you get to hear the crew having to repeat "PEA!" loudly when the trays are being handed out)
25/75 on mini bottles/big bottle on the champagne since New Year, for those that care.

But actually it'd be interesting to see more photos posted in this thread for comparison.
