Panna cotta has been showing up on quite a few photos (and menus) on this thread. I'm surprised it is served as the dessert for VLML, because panna cotta by definition contains gelatin and is decidedly not vegetarian (let alone vegan), unless they make a vegetarian version that does not contain gelatin. Does anyone know if that is the case?

It's very common to see a vegetarian/vegan panna cotta these days - agar agar is usually used instead of the gelatin

BA585 today MXP to LHR

Chicken curry - no brainer, pretty tasty. Salad didn’t really know what it was - was it Asian? European? And…. Panna Cotta again - this time rhubarb with a little crumble hat.

I had the same meal today on BA873 - I'm pretty sure it was Japanese, what with the seaweed, edamame and the wasabi sauce! Either way, I really liked it

Was it wasabi? It was green but pretty anodyne. It was quite nice though.

Wish they’d do crème brûlée or crème caramel instead of panna cotta. I hate the gelatinous texture.

Let's hope they did use agar agar, at least for the VLML version. Agar agar is a good substitute for gelatin for some dishes, but it definitely changes the texture. I happen to like agar agar a lot and use it at home, but traditionalists would probably prefer the classic version which is creamier and smoother than the agar agar version.

Yes, it has been that way since the catering came back after Covid - oddly enough MAD is still Band 3. ALC is 250 miles further on, VLC as well.

MAD is a Band 3 so as to match the Iberia product.

I think MAD was always an exception. If you remember when bands came in a few years ago, MAD was band 2 but there was some suggestion that the IAG fat cats going between LHR and MAD didn't appreciate the panini, so MAD miraculously got pushed to band 3

it will be the same as JER - few photos in the thread. Usually a choice of a bacon roll or an egg roll.

The signature BA fry up seems to be shrinking, and for once not just the sausage. There is visible plate in the latest iteration which seems to be a new thing. Compared to 2018 there has been a reduction of two mushrooms, and the banger we all know about and bitterly lament its diminution.

If you can cast your mind back 6 years ... has the taste improved/worsened?
