Status Changes:
There have been a couple of questions regarding C+ when a member's status drops down after January 31. Typically, seats will hold unless there is an equipment change. If there's a change, the passenger(s) will most likely be seated in regular economy. There are reports of some success contacting @delta to get reseated in C+.

Comfort+ FAQ - LINK
Offering:
- C+ is a complimentary upgrade (space available) for DM and PM after booking. GM can access for free at T-72 and FO at T-24. (There is no longer a discount for GM/FO.)
- Sky Priority boarding
- Extra legroom and, on international a/c, extra recline
- Free wine, spirits and regional craft beers, plus premium snacks
Complimentary premium entertainment from Delta Studio™(No longer relevant as of July 1st; Entertainment now complimentary in Y)- On JFK-LAX/SFO flights, a Luvo® sandwich wrap and frozen Greek yogurt bar, pillow, blanket, and sleep kit are included
A few general notes regarding DL C+:
- On international a/c, the bulkhead seats often have a significant amount leg room (other than the 764).
- The bulkhead and exit row seats are often narrower as the tray table and/or IFE unit are in the arm rests. The arm rests do not move which, coupled with a smaller seat, can be uncomfortable for larger pax.
- The first row of regular economy seating after EC IS NOT recommended. The last row of EC has the EC recline and members have reported that there's no extra space between this row and the first row of regular Y.
- Selecting C+ Seats - You cannot select or purchase C+ seats until after booking is completed on revenue or award tickets. The UG has to clear as well.
Internationally Configured Aircraft
Per DL, International/transoceanic C+ offers 35" pitch and 6" recline. (LINK)
747-400 / 744 / 74S:
- dl.com seat map: 747-400
Rows 22-26 - 42 total C+ seats. - Legroom:
Row 22 ABC/HJK and 24 DEFG are the bulkhead seats. 22C/H are noted as having unlimited legroom and some have noted that people can congregate due to the proximity of the lavatories, which are located directly in front of the first row of C+ on the 744. 22ABC have recently received poor reviews because of the lav and galley - people tend to congregate in this area and it can become stinky. Comments on 22K indicate that pax can access the aisle without disturbing other passengers. Also, the lavatory near 22HJK is blocked for BusinessElite pax, so there tends to be fewer disturbances and become less smelly over the course of a long flight. Also, seats 22B and 22J can be used for bassinets.
Some might prefer the legroom of row 35/51 on the 744 with less recline and tray in armrest. - Related Threads and Posts:

The C+/Economy seats on a/c has winged headrests. - Legroom:
Row 29/31 seats are the bulkhead seats and have plenty of leg room. Rows 30-32/32-34 are standard C+ seats with USB and plug power. Row 44 (exit row) has excellent legroom, but no power outlets. The window seat sin this row are narrower because the tray table is in the armrest does not move up. The recline is standard recline.

On the 764, the bulkhead seats (row 15) have less leg room than the 763's; there's probably about 2' or so between the edge of the seat and the wall. The bulkhead seats do not have moveable arm rests and the tray table/IFE monitor are in the arm rests. In my experience, I felt like the A332/333 and 763's had better recline in EC than the 764. - IFE:

Had an interesting experience at LAX flying back to DEN on business. I've tried to stay on top of the new C+ policies but there's a lack of information about it.
So I went to the LAX Sky Priority counter and asked how I get put onto this new upgrade list. 2 agents told me Silvers don't qualify for any comped upgrade for comfort plus. I was floored - even called up AA to get match since it's all about C+ when first class doesn't clear.
Finally in the security line I went on the website to dig deeper and yes, Silvers do indeed get comp C+ after being on an upgrade list. The thing that DL doesn't really mention is you have to go into your reservation and click a checkbox to get on the list. It took me 10 minutes to find the stupid checkbox - I don't know why we aren't automatically on the list.
I clear both segments and it's not a deal breaker for me - but it's dumb to me to have gate agents re-print boarding passes for C+ at the gate. Will be interesting to see how this move pans out - but those LAX agents were rude about it. Telling a Silver flat out "NO" is something that would happen over at United.

They need to know that their gate agents are incorrectly trained on this issue.

Can't tell from what's posted what the best seats would be for the 76W v2 (http://www.delta.com/content/www/en_...300-76zv2.html).
Traveling on JFK - AMS on the overnight and right now I can either pay $100/person for C+ (which is wide open) or pay for a Preferred Seat (Exit Row 20 is open).
Which would be better and if C+ what would be the recommended seat (in theory 12/13 seem great but they are right next to the bathroom)

13 is good, although "quite" close the the toilet.
14/15 share a window
16 doesn't recline as much due to normal seat behind.
We've gone for row 13 both ways. After all we won't have much time without earplugs and stuff anyway.
See this post for great photos.

20AB and FG have good legroom but the harder seat pan on the 76Z v2. Overall I'd say they are OK seats for a medallion to sit in free but I'd not pay anything for them, mostly because from the data I gathered before our flight to SNN in early May, I'd say you have a greater than 60% chance of a swap to a v1 24 hours or so before departure. C+ is a better value IMO on the 76Z v1s, as the lavs aren't nearby, and the windows line up a bit better in the various rows, but it appears that DL posts every 76Z flight as a v2 until the 24 hr window (my analysis of a limited sample set, could be wrong...)
If that happens, then you'd be reseated (probably!) in 21, which is the corresponding exit row, but immediately by the lavs. You could also end up in 20 on the v1 which has restricted recline, or did on our specific a/c last year ATL-EZE. That was a looong flight with restricted recline, hard seat pan, and lav noise, even if the legroom was good.

Update on the JFK-LAX/SFO flights. For most flights I've looked at, the seat map for the 767s is now showing that coach starts at 13 (which nearly all 767s on this route do, except for the ex-Gulf planes). Hopefully this is a sign that DL will manage the aircraft swaps on these planes better.
The seat map, however, still shows the exit doors in front of row 13, which of course don't actually exist in 13 is the first row of coach.

I've found that every Delta person you ask gives a different answer about the new C+ policies. As a DM, I find it ridiculous that all upgrades (C+ and First) don't happen automatically. Why take something that was working back to the stone age?

I used some orphan SkyMiles for a one way trip DFW-LAX-HNL. I tried to purchase a Comfort + seat for the LAX-HNL segment on delta.com, but the site wouldn't allow it. I called the general customer service number and got an agent (call-back time was over an hour, btw) who seemed clueless and put me on hold for quite a while. When he returned, he said that I didn't have enough miles left for the C+ seat. I reminded him that I wanted to purchase one with cash, and he told me this was not possible on an award ticket. Is that true, or did I get yet another DL agent who doesn't understand the C+ rules?

My apologies if this has already been covered but I couldn't find anything.
I just had a new itinerary booked via Concur (e.g. not via Delta.dumb) with ticketing in the Main Cabin. There is a certain red-eye flight that I would like to pay to upgrade to Comfort+. In the past I could just go into the seat selection, select a C+ seat and pay the upgrade fee, however now when I do this I get a message stating I can only select a seat in the cabin in which my ticket was purchased.
Reading the FAQ it indicates I should be able to pay to upgrade from Main Cabin to C+ but I honestly see no way to do this (though I see all the marketing trying to persuade me to upgrade).
What am I missing? Do I really have to call and speak to an agent to perform something so mundane?

Try a dummy booking on DL.com to replicate the actual booking you have. That dummy booking will give you an idea of the cost of what you'd like to do. Post May 16, 2016, C+ is no longer sold from the seat map on a per-flight basis, rather it is an upgrade to the fare you originally purchased. In a single direction of travel, it is generally no longer possible to upgrade just one flight of a multi-segment itinerary.
