Paid access options for AF lounges are displayed after the lounge list.

EUROPE
France
  • CDG : AF lounges in
    • Terminal 2F (Schengen)
    • Terminal 2G (Schengen) : More info here.
    • Terminal 2E (non-Schengen) : one lounge in each concourse (K, L, M gates).Pictures of the renovated L lounge can be found here. La Premičre lounge is located in 2E-K and is subjected to special rules for access (P pax on AF-operating flights only, or capacity-controlled paid access for J pax flying on an AF-operating flight without P class).
    • Terminal 2C : arrival lounge, located landside at the extreme right of the terminal, after the last check-in counter, just before the corridor leading to 2A. This lounge has specific access rules and there is a specific thread about this lounge. This lounge is definitely closed. No arrival lounge facility is currently available for AF/Skyteam pax ending their journey in CDG (usual lounges are still available for transit pax).
Note that, among Skyteam partners :

- ME, DL, VN, CZ, MU, RO, AM, KE, KQ depart from T2E and use AF lounges.
- SU and SV depart from T2C, where AF is not present anymore. So those airlines are using the contract lounges available in this terminal.
- OK departs from T2D, where AF is not present anymore. OK is using the contract lounge (SheltAir lounge) available in this terminal. (NO GUESTS ALLOWED FOR AF-TICKETED PAX on OK-SERVICE)
- AR, GA, CI and Xiamen do not serve CDG.

Air France lounges and contract lounges master thread

Dear all

We have very often on this forum questions about which lounge is available to AF pax at a specific airport. And there are also often new or conflicting information (see recent debates about VIE or HEL). Add to this that AF and Skyteam websites are very incomplete and not up-to-date. So I thought it could be useful to have in the AF forum a master thread about which AF or contract lounges are available worldwide for AF pax. I have drafted below a full list of AF destinations and lounges available, based on information found on various AF and airport sites (but with many information wrong or outdated) and my own knowledge. I included a few destinations not served by AF metal but for which the cooperation with the operating carrier is strong on a specific route or area (e.g. VLC and AGP with UX, CVG, EWR, SEA, et with DL, NOU with SB, HEL with AY, etc).

To all : as the list has been moved to a Wiki, please check, edit and update any info in order to have the most accurate list as possible. Especially, when I mentionned "airport lounge", if you know the name of this lounge, this would be a very useful info to have as some airports have several contract lounges. Thank you

[Content moved to wiki. Many thanks for the great work, Goldorak ^]

SDQ: Sala VIP Caribe (Contract Lounge). Passengers are issued a lounge invitation during check-in.
PUJ: VIP Lounge Punta Cana

MEX and CUN should be under North America and not Central/South America.

Thumbs up

Excellent initiative and should indeed be a masterthread. ^ Could I possible suggest creating one post for each lounge [which could progressively be given info such as entry conditions - e.g. some of them are only for J/P and not for ST E+/FB G/P etc, whether there are wifi, showers, any special "tips" (as in NCE where there is Champagne but it needs to be requested), etc]. The first post could keep the list of all lounges and have links to the individual lounge posts?

A few notes:

NCE: of the four airport lounges, AF actually uses two - Cap Ferrat (as you mention) for Schengen flights, but also Cap d'Antibes after passport control for non-Schengen flights (TLV, TUN if it is reinstated, AF codeshares to JFK, SVO, etc).

BOD: similarly, the Patio lounge is only for Paris flights, there is another airport lounge for all non-Paris flights. (note: AF keeps changing between allowing pax in or giving them a voucher for non-Paris flights so not sure what the current system is)

CDG: is there still a TGV lounge access for Strasbourg trains?

Belgium: there is also a BRU lounge (A5 still has flights to LYS, and NTE-BOD I believe) although I'm not sure if they still subscribe to the lounge or not.

DUB: lounge is no longer called Ana Livia (hasn't for a couple of years) but "DAA Airport Lounge"

LAX: I don't think there is a QF lounge but just the OW lounge (although it is fortunately QF in every possible way but name!). Would be good to know if it is to the standard OW lounge or the new OW F lounge?

TLV: I believe the lounge is the Dan lounge (not sure if there is a JetSet lounge, I have never seen it)

PVG: Can't AF pax use the MU lounges too? - I may well be wrong on that!

Also a small pedantic remark - should the list include only airports for which AF flies with its own metal (in which case I don't know why HEL or ZYR are included?) or also flights where AF coded flights only operate as codeshares (in which case many are of course missing)?

Hope it helps!

HEL Last July no problem to enter the lounge. The full name is: Aspire Lounge (Servisair).
CPH In July and December I was directed to the Apartment Lounge. The Novia Lounge is renamed Aviator Lounge.

At KIX, the Sakura lounge is not an airport lounge, it is the JL lounge. Same as in HND. Many other airlines use this lounge, but it is a JL lounge (Sakura is the generic name of all JL business class lounges).

Good point (and a rather disappointing lounge it is too although there is lots of food available).

Well, depending on people and official organisms, Mexico is sometimes linked to N.A or to central A. U.N. includes it in Central A., so I let it there.

The first post could keep the list of all lounges and have links to the individual lounge posts?
Thank you Orbitmic
Definitely the best way to proceed, as we are doing in the Fast lane master thread.

I added a note about this as I was not able to find any information on BOD web site and AF and Skyteam sites list only Le Patio lounge.

Good remark. Normally yes. I added the info.

No idea and could not find any info. Paging some BRU insiders

I checked OW site and it seems that there is a specific QF lounge for P pax and this lounge is used for AF P pax, so I let "QF lounge".

The JetSet info was coming from an AF doc but it is probably outdated. Sky team site lists also Dan, so I edited for Dan lounge.

Technically they can, but there is a specific (very bad) lounge for AF pax. My "philosophy" here was not to list all Skyteam lounges one could access but only the "AF ones". But feel free to disagree as this is not my thread but our thread !

I wanted first to list only the destinations flown by AF metal, but decided to add a few destinations where there is no AF metal but where AF cooperates very closely with the operating airline. Which one do you see missing ? Maybe AUH (with EY) and JED (with SV) ? Again, feel free to proceed differently.

Unless I'm wrong, Puerta del sol in T3 is not used for AF pax but for UX flights departing from T3. AF flights depart from T1 and so are directed to Cibeles lounge.

Thanks Brunos. Edited. I didn't know it was the generic name for JAL lounges. For HND, I already put JL (I was in this lounge just a few days ago). For KIX, I haven't been there since 2003. It was the JL lounge at that time but I thought it changed when I saw this "Sakura" name.

For BRU, according to this post http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/23059735-post6.html, HOP passengers do seem to get lounge access.

It is the Diamond Lounge, now located on level 0 (it used to be on level 2)

Cheers,

Yes, definitely those, if I remember codeshare partners correctly, I would also include at least NBO (new KQ lounge), SEZ (Air Seychelles lounge), BEG, RIX, TLL, GYD, LCA, TBS (airport lounge, I think Primaclass), LUX, RAK (airport lounge), and maybe generic notes for DL and West Jet codeshares (they can effectively use any of those airlines lounges but only if on a same day connection to an international flight).

Also, the code for Kiev airport is KBP, KBV is the ever-so-desirable Krabi in Thailand so I don't blame you for the confusion!!

I would be reluctant to include destinations where AF only codeshares but does not use its own metal.
The situation for lounge access by FB elite+ flying Y can vary according to the codeshare partner and a reader could be confused believing to have access to that lounge while he does not. Or the wiki should be more detailed for those destinations and give some indications of lounge access, although these could change over time.

In VIE, there is absolutely no issue accessing the JET Lounge for those flying on AF metal, which departs from Terminal 1 (C-gates). Used it twice in the past week.

In PRG, the lounge is nowadays called Erste Premier Lounge

In WAW, the lounge is called Ballada Executive Lounge

Thank you for all those precisions . For VIE, I think we have now a clear picture. Elite+ pax flying Y can only access a lounge with an AF-coded ticket when flying on Y metal but not OS metal.

I think it is of interest to list some but, Brunos, you are right saying that the rules can be different for Y Elite+ pax depending on the partner. So may I suggest we include those destinations only when somebody knows clearly the rule and we can indicate it on the wiki ? But for routes operated by Skyteam partners (like AGP/VLC by UX), there is no issue here, so I suggest to keep them without specific note for rules access.
I have added some notes for VIE and HEL and also AGP/VLC.

I wouldn't say so - the two people who reported being refused lounge entry both went to the OS lounge. My personal guess (and certainly at the very least a possibility) is that they would have been granted access (regardless of metal) if they had been to the Jet contract lounge instead.

The problem is that it would likely defeat the mentioned purpose of the thread, which is to avoid repeat questions on lounge access. I would personally suggest including them all (individually for flights where AF uses a direct codeshare to a French airport, and general statements for broad codeshare agreements - like domestic DL, Westjet, etc) but with a footnote stating that for flights operated by non-Skyteam airlines, lounge access is only guaranteed when flying J or P on an international itinerary and passengers should check with check in/ticket desk staff if flying Y with an elite plus card.

If progressively, we move to the structure that you and I seem to prefer with individual posts for each airport (which can all be linked from the wiki I believe), lounge access could then be clarified when known with the proviso brunos mentions that rules can always change at any time as reciprocal access agreements are, I believe, renegotiated typically every other year or so.
