Upcoming Skyteam lounges in Istanbul and Santiago

In this month edition of the Holland Herald (KLM's onboard magazine), they mention the opening of two new Skyteam lounges in Istanbul, Turkey and Santiago, Chile later this year.

It was announced first for end 2018. Then beginning 2020 and ST website still says that...
It is still not listed in SCL website.
Maybe it was ready to open in march and they didn't when covid-19 pandemic stopped almost all flights.

I think you can safely assume it won't open until travel has recovered to something like 2019 levels....so it could still be many years away from opening.

No self-serve for the buffet and no liquor license yet.
Come for the apron view and go to Pacific Club (Priority Pass, too) for booze.

I paid a visit to this lounge last week, during an early morning connection. The lounge was a total mess, with a lot of used plates and garbage in available seats/tables, the showers were under maintenance and very poor breakfast options. Not sure if a consequence of the night/morning staff shift but do not expect much from this lounge.

May I ask why you had to pay? On a non-eligible flight, or a policy thing?

No payment was made. "Pay a visit" is an idiom.
