In HKG, AF pax flying in P have the choice between the Skyteam or the QF lounge. As I never tried the QF one and heard good thing about it, I opted for QF.
It is located roughly at the same terminal location as the Skyteam lounge (airside, near gate 15, close to the north immigration/security checkpoint)) but above it, on a mezzanine (level 7).
One of the main difference between the 2 lounges is that QF feels more "open" than the Skyteam lounge which is "underground" and blind. At night time, it doesn't make a lot of difference, but at day time it can (but AF flight departs late at night).
The QF lounge is huge, certainly a very nice lounge, but TBH I was expecting something better in term of seat comfort, design and privacy. The seats are OK but not extremely comfortable. Design is...OK but could be better IMO. There is no dedicated space for P pax. They have tables reserved for VIP (including the P pax) to eat the food available at the buffet. Food selection is quite nice (but not better than in the Skyteam lounge IMO).
The best in this lounge is the service. As a P pax you are introduced by the AF agent to the lounge staff and they are really caring about you all the time coming regularly to ask you if you want some drink or some food and they pass regularly with some warm canapés (but for all pax, not only their own P pax or the AF P pax).
Overall a very good lounge, but I would not really rate much better than the Skyteam one, apart for the open air feeling if you can use it during daytime.
