Thanks!

On March 1, 2015, DL rebranded Economy Comfort as "Comfort+."
Delta - Comfort+
dl.com: LINK
Comfort+ FAQ - LINK
Offering:
  • C+ is a complimentary upgrade (space available) for DM and PM after booking. GM can access for free at T-72 and FO at T-24. (There is no longer a discount for GM/FO.)
  • Sky Priority boarding
  • Extra legroom and, on international a/c, extra recline
  • Free wine, spirits and regional craft beers, plus premium snacks
  • Complimentary premium entertainment from Delta Studio™ (No longer relevant as of July 1st; Entertainment now complimentary in Y)
  • On JFK-LAX/SFO flights, a Luvo® sandwich wrap and frozen Greek yogurt bar, pillow, blanket, and sleep kit are included

A few general notes regarding DL C+:
  1. On international a/c, the bulkhead seats often have a significant amount leg room (other than the 764).
  2. The bulkhead and exit row seats are often narrower as the tray table and/or IFE unit are in the arm rests. The arm rests do not move which, coupled with a smaller seat, can be uncomfortable for larger pax.
  3. The first row of regular economy seating after EC IS NOT recommended. The last row of EC has the EC recline and members have reported that there's no extra space between this row and the first row of regular Y.
  4. Selecting C+ Seats - You cannot select or purchase C+ seats until after booking is completed on revenue or award tickets. The UG has to clear as well.
************************************************** ***********
Internationally Configured Aircraft
Per DL, International/transoceanic C+ offers 35" pitch and 6" recline. (LINK)

747-400 / 744 / 74S:
  • dl.com seat map: 747-400
    Rows 22-26 - 42 total C+ seats.
  • Legroom:
Row 22 ABC/HJK and 24 DEFG are the bulkhead seats. 22C/H are noted as having unlimited legroom and some have noted that people can congregate due to the proximity of the lavatories, which are located directly in front of the first row of C+ on the 744. 22ABC have recently received poor reviews because of the lav and galley - people tend to congregate in this area and it can become stinky. Comments on 22K indicate that pax can access the aisle without disturbing other passengers. Also, the lavatory near 22HJK is blocked for BusinessElite pax, so there tends to be fewer disturbances and become less smelly over the course of a long flight. Also, seats 22B and 22J can be used for bassinets.
Some might prefer the legroom of row 35/51 on the 744 with less recline and tray in armrest.

    Rows 31-34; 36 C+ seats
NOTE: As DL reduced the number of Business Elite seats on the 777s, rows 29-32 are now the C+ seats.
The C+/Economy seats on a/c has winged headrests.
  • Legroom:
Row 29/31 seats are the bulkhead seats and have plenty of leg room. Rows 30-32/32-34 are standard C+ seats with USB and plug power. Row 44 (exit row) has excellent legroom, but no power outlets. The window seat sin this row are narrower because the tray table is in the armrest does not move up. The recline is standard recline.
    IFE:
These a/c are equipped with IFE at each seat.

  • Legroom:
On the 764, the bulkhead seats (row 15) have less leg room than the 763's; there's probably about 2' or so between the edge of the seat and the wall. The bulkhead seats do not have moveable arm rests and the tray table/IFE monitor are in the arm rests. In my experience, I felt like the A332/333 and 763's had better recline in EC than the 764.
  • IFE:
These a/c are equipped with IFE at each seat.

Status Changes:
There have been a couple of questions regarding C+ when a member's status drops down after January 31. Typically, seats will hold unless there is an equipment change. If there's a change, the passenger(s) will most likely be seated in regular economy. There are reports of some success contacting @delta to get reseated in C+.

Thanks. I just switched. One other question if you noticed, where is the PTV screen for 15D, in the armrest?

I did notice and yes it is in the armrest. Also, there is a pocket against the wall for 15A and F for your safety card/magazine etc. which might eat into your legroom a little.

Going to upgrade to economy comfort on a A330-300. Was thinking of going for 10c. Can anyone give their thoughts or experience? I know its right by the galley, so I would expect it to be a bit noisier..? Or would I be better served going for 11/12 a or b? Thanks in advance!

16A on a 75N?

I'm in 16A on a 75N for an upcoming flight. When I went in to upgrade to C+, 16A was selectable, but not charged as C+. I know about the slide issue, but what I'm mainly concerned about is whether the seat will come with bourbon or not. Does anyone know whether that seat is still officially C+?

Question

I was thinking of purchasing a upgrade to Comfort plus on 330-300, but we currently have window and aisle next to each other. The upgrade seats are middle seats, so for 3 inches more pitch, I'm thinking why bother? Its a long flight, HNL-ATL. Please advise, what would you do?

I had this same issue this morning in DUB on a 763. The TA spent about 15 minutes confirming that 14E was indeed C+. I moved from 17B to that seat because 14D was open. It ended up not mattering because I got an OpUp to 6B.

Since it's an "international" aircraft, the C+ seats should also have more recline which can make a substantial difference on overnight flights. There's also the advantage of free drinks and premium snacks in C+ which can be nice considering the flight is longer than many TATLs but still gets standard domestic service.

Ultimately, the decision for me might come down to what you mean by middle seats. If you mean two seats together on one side of the middle section (C&D or F&G), it might be worth switching depending on the price and how much you think it will help you sleep. If you mean that only D and F are open I'd definitely stay where you are.

Apologies if it's already answered, but I couldn't find it in the wiki or a quick search.

In the past, I've been able to get single companions on my same flight but separate PNRs (for whatever reason) moved into C+ with me. Always just a quick call to the PM line.

For an upcoming trip, however, I am booked in D1 and my companion is in coach. Does DL usually allow people in those situations to move their companion into a C+ seat?

I won't get a chance to call until this afternoon. I was just curious in the meantime if others had had success.

Update: Called DL a few minutes ago and no dice. The companion-on-a-separate-PNR benefit only applies if the PM/DM is also sitting in C+, with the goal being the companions sitting next to each other. If you're in a forward cabin, your companion is on their own (though I suppose I can at least provide lounge access).

I kind of wish I could somehow trade an RUC or two to do this, with as much trouble as I'm having using them for their intended purpose.

Good to know, and from DL's standpoint, it does make sense (even if it didn't help you here). I've been told on many occasions by DL agents that each DM/PM can have one person for free in C+. I found this out as Mrs. TrojanTraveler and I were traveling with two others (on complicated, non-identical itineraries). I did not know, however, about traveling in separate cabins, but in DL's defense, this is a customer service concession to DMs/PMs travelling with others and want to sit together. It's a nice, unpublished (I think) benefit.

Absolutely agree. While I of course wish I could have done it, it totally makes sense.

As the CSR explained it, it's something they do to allow us to use our C+ benefit and still sit with "your buddy" even if you had to book separately for whatever reason. Since the intent is to let people sit together, they don't do it when you're in a separate cabin.

FWIW, he didn't seem to be stumbling over his words or anything at all - he knew the rules right off the top of my head. So while not published to us, it does seem to be something that is documented somehow internally.

He also asked if I wanted to move my companion up to D1 with me. I said (jokingly), "Really? For free?" to which he replied, "No...we're not THAT nice."

MD90 10A/B

Are seats 10A and 10B no longer C+ on the MD-90? The general DL.com seatmap shows them as C+, but on my specific flight's seatmap they are white seats. When I try to select one it gives a warning:

You have selected a Main Cabin seat.

Purchased seats are nonrefundable. If you click "Confirm", your seat assignment will be changed and any Delta Comfort+™ seat charges you have paid will not be refunded.
Anyone flown in these seats lately who can comment? They seem to have been blocked until a few hours before the flight. Those are my two favorite Y seats on this plane, but I'd like to get the free drink and better snacks if possible. Flight is in <3 hours.

Thanks in advance.
