Update on BOS AF lounge
Posting from BOS lounge
Look at the picture and the number of airlines now using it + pass holders
I understand the need to increase revenues, but this is wayyy too much as most of those airlines have their flights at the same time as the AF ones. As a result, the lounge is hyper crowded, very noisy, the staff is constantly adding new food and drinks and everything dissappear in 2 minutes. Infants and young kids crying everywhere (don't get me wrong I love kids, but tonight in this lounge this is too much ).
And about pass holders, what is "Dragon Pass" ? Never heard about that. Is it to pass the barrier of the lounge Dragon ?
During my last visit in this lounge, it was just shared with AZ and Icelandair and that was more than enough.

ARN T2 - Aurora Menzies lounge
Name of the lounge : ARN T2 - Aurora Menzies lounge
This was my 2nd vsit in this contract lounge. I remember i was not very enthusiastic about it the 1st time, but this one was even worse. A total scandal . I arrived about 1.5 hrs before boarding and every single place was full of dirty plates, glasses and leftover food/drnks. The staff was just starting to collect all this when I arrived and it took them a while to do it and, obviously, it had not been done for a long time.
Location : facing gate 67, go upstairs, turn left and cross the restaurant (yes, it can be confusing when you arrive upstairs as it is not obvious to guess that you have to cross a restaurant to arrive to the lounge).
Opening Hours : 5:15 am to 9 pm
Entry requirements : usual AF/KL requirements.
I precise that the pictures below were taken after the (long) cleaning process !
Food offer : see text & pics below
Drinks offer : see text & pics below
After looking for not-too-dirty place to seat, if you want to eat or drink something, then another interesting moment starts…
Nothing to eat except a few remaining (non-appealing) slices of ham and cheese (all stands and shelves were totally empty ).
Desperately so empty...
To drink something, your 1st battle is to find a glass. There were none clean during almost my entire time in the lounge . I finally found one but…water…where is water ? No bottle. I asked and they showed me this (just a discrete sign in Swedish…) to have tap water…
You want wine ? Here it is (see pic below ) and even if you are not discouraged to the liquid you expect from this, don’t worry as it was empty and remained empty during my entire stay. So I sticked to tap water…
They bring a cheese tray, but…too bad… it was just minutes before my boarding
Hopefully, my flight was in dinner time and I was in J, so I was expecting a good tray on-board.

So a pathetic experience. This is the only lounge in this terminal, so airlines have unfortunately no choice. I hope AF/KL do not pay too much for this crap. I have sent a complaint to AF, but 1.5 months after, I am still awaiting a response from them.

I spend quite a bit of time in the ARN T2 lounge and (with a huge exception), I like this lounge. When I am there it's nearly always quiet, no problem getting seating, etc. That said, as you point out, the catering leaves much to be desired.
Especially compared to the crappy US lounges in which I spend much time, this lounge is much more civilized and comfortable. Unless you want to eat and drink

New private area for La Première customers, at Geneva airport
And a private car to and from GVA airport around 190 km!

There is in fact nothing special about it. Just a cordoned-off area with some lounge chairs, to avoid that P customers have to fight for a seat with common mortals.
Nothing comparable to the First lounge of LX just 30 meters down the hallway (of course the official way from one to the other is much further), or the P lounge in Paris. And obviously a stark contrast if the CDG flight the passengers from the VIP area are then using is an A318 with the NEO cabin, before things dramatically improve again with the P experience in CDG.

Having said that, many people (including me and many that I know) use the car service on arrival, but never on departure. The times where the airlines want to pick you up from your home or office are ridiculously early, for instance with EK from downtown Geneva it's 3.5 hours before departure and I would assume Air France does something similar. Same in Paris (or even more, don't remember). When I go on my own I leave downtown one hour before when I don't have luggage (99.9% of my travel, even for longhaul), which is perfectly sufficient. Add 20-30 minutes when having to check in luggage. What do the airlines want us to do during all that time at the airport, watch the paint dry on the walls?

I don't know when your flight is, but the 2F2 lounge is supposed to reopen on Monday.
