    • Terminal 2F (Schengen): 2 lounges, one in each boarding pier (2F1 and 2F2). Both have been renovated (2F1 during summer 2016, 2F2 in feb/march 2017 reopening on April 6, 2017). A new single lounge is planned for 2020, to replace the 2 current ones.

Update on LYS lounge:
The new lounge should open around March-April 2018. I have been ensured that the lounge will be way larger, and "the service will be completely different". The current Patio lounge should be shut down in April.

I think this lounge was the last remnant of the brilliant achievements under PH Gourgeon's reign !

HKG : Qantas lounge (option for AF P pax)

In HKG, AF pax flying in P have the choice between the Skyteam or the QF lounge. As I never tried the QF one and heard good thing about it, I opted for QF.

It is located roughly at the same terminal location as the Skyteam lounge (airside, near gate 15, close to the north immigration/security checkpoint)) but above it, on a mezzanine (level 7).
One of the main difference between the 2 lounges is that QF feels more "open" than the Skyteam lounge which is "underground" and blind. At night time, it doesn't make a lot of difference, but at day time it can (but AF flight departs late at night).
The QF lounge is huge, certainly a very nice lounge, but TBH I was expecting something better in term of seat comfort, design and privacy. The seats are OK but not extremely comfortable. Design is...OK but could be better IMO. There is no dedicated space for P pax. They have tables reserved for VIP (including the P pax) to eat the food available at the buffet. Food selection is quite nice (but not better than in the Skyteam lounge IMO).

The best in this lounge is the service. As a P pax you are introduced by the AF agent to the lounge staff and they are really caring about you all the time coming regularly to ask you if you want some drink or some food and they pass regularly with some warm canapés (but for all pax, not only their own P pax or the AF P pax).

Overall a very good lounge, but I would not really rate much better than the Skyteam one, apart for the open air feeling if you can use it during daytime.

GLA apparently has a "Sky Lounge" accessible for AF pax. I will probably try it on late May, anybody passed by already?

Lounges added in UK, according to the AF website:
Bristol (BRS), "Aspire Lounge"
Cardiff (CWL), "Executive Lounge"
Glasgow (GLA), "Sky Lounge"
Humberside (HUY), "Servisair Executive Lounge"
Leeds (LBA), "Premier Lounge"
Durham (MME), "Roseberry Lounge"
Norwich (NVI), " Multiyork Executive Lounge"

The list almost doubled. What about the other countries?

AF stopped flying to BRS several years ago, but KL PAX have been able to use the "Aspire Lounge" (and more importantly, the "AspirePlus Lounge") for years. I suppose there are codeshares.

YVR - New Skyteam lounge

From Skyteam website:
https://www.skyteam.com/en/about/pre...ional-airport/

Vancouver, November 15, 2017 – SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, has officially opened its latest branded lounge at Vancouver International Airport (YVR). This marks SkyTeam’s first lounge in the Americas and seventh worldwide. The new lounge is designed to offer SkyTeam customers a high-end, pre-flight experience and features a wide range of amenities, including locally sourced food and beverages.

The 528 square-metre lounge (5,600 square feet) is comprised of two separate wings and floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the runway and mountains in the distance. The lounge is managed on behalf of SkyTeam by Global Lounge Network and is situated close to luxury retail outlets by Gate 53 in the all-new Duty Free area in the International Terminal.

“Vancouver is a key SkyTeam gateway between the rest of Canada, the United States, Asia and Europe. A shared lounge enables our members to offer an elevated airport experience to their top customers, while strengthening our brand in the market,” said Perry Cantarutti, SkyTeam’s CEO.

SkyTeam’s Vancouver lounge is available to Elite Plus, First and Business Class customers. Highlights include:
  • Buffet that provides a taste of what Vancouver has to offer, including hot and cold meals created using fresh local produce and West Coast smoked salmon
  • Noodle bar for made-to-order meals cooked by an in-house chef
  • Wide range of beverages, including beers from local microbreweries and a selection of wines from local vineyards
  • Seating for 126 guests across two wings where customers can catch up with work in a dedicated business area or watch the latest news in a separate TV room
  • Showers with all the amenities needed to freshen up pre-flight
SkyTeam member airlines serving YVR are Aeroméxico, Air France, China Airlines, China Eastern, China Southern, Delta Air Lines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Korean Air and Xiamen Airlines, with up to 75 weekly departures, with access to the lounge.
Please note that pax flying DL from YVR to the US do not have access to the Skyteam lounge as the US flights depart from a special zone after US pre-clearance.

And now, just for fun, I can’t resist to post the French translation of this text used by Skyteam and/or AF on AgentConnect. Come-on, it shouldn’t be too hard to find people speaking French in AF and Skyteam to correct Google Trad mistakes !

From AgentConnect (this mistake is not present on the French version of Skyteam website, so I’m guessing it was discovered and corrected there, while not done on AgentConnect):
SkyTeam vient d’ouvrir son tout nouveau salon à l’aéroport international de Vancouver (Canada). C'est le premier salon SkyTeam aux Etats-unis et le septième dans le monde entier.
I know that YVR was close to the border but...
The Americas was translated into “aux États Unis”.

The next one is a good one, present on both Skyteam and AgentConnect sites:
un buffet varié de plats chauds et froids composé de produits locaux tel que du saumon fumé fraîchement pêché sur la Côte Ouest
They are really good in Skyteam : they catch the salmon already smoked and deliver it right to the lounge !
This is the translation from “created using fresh local produce and West Coast smoked salmon”.

And the 3rd one is not really a translation mistake, but one should never say that in French : the noodle bar translated into “bar a nouilles” really made me laugh out loud and same for all the people who were with me at the time I read that. I hope they don’t speak about the customers seating at the bar !

MLE = Leeli lounge

In Malé, Maldives (MLE), AF makes use of the Leeli lounge in the international terminal, right behind the duty free area on the left side, which is also used by all other airlines with C class service IIRC. Wiki edited.

There are posts in the SK forum suggesting that AF are moving ( or have already moved) to the brand new Atelier lounge in CPH. Can anybody confirm this?

Have had quick search and not find it as this question might have been asked.

I got a flight CDG-PTY, based on history it leaves from 2L. As I will be travelling from LHR, usually parked in 2K.
Can I go to lounge in 2M by getting the train to 2L and catch their coachs mention in Goldorak http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28213712-post414.html
Or am I stuck in 2K as need a shower.

Thanks

You meant stuck in 2L? As the 2E-L lounge is half closed due to improvement works in progress, you will be allowed to access the 2E-M terminal and lounge. However, the shuttle that could bring you back to 2E-L concourse only operates during certain times. What are your flight times?
