I know that lounge 2F2 is opened but last time I used it (two weeks ago) it was hell.
Still scheduled to re-open on the 6th.

I have made a couple of housekeeping updates in the wiki : deleting destinations not served anymore like LCY, VRN; adding new destinations like MXP, ORN, OPO, RAK, etc but not always knowing which lounge is used, so if someone knows...

This is to be confirmed, but i would guess the lounge in OPO is the ANA lounge as in LIS.

As for RAK, i would make an educated guess that the lounge is the "Salon Convives de marque", it's the only lounge listed on the airport website. I am flying to RAK tomorrow (with AT) however so i'll take a look around to confirm when i fly back!

2F1 lounge is now reopen after renovation

The 2F1 lounge has just reopened after renovation. It is similar to what they did in 2F2 lounge during the summer 2016, i.e. more a major refreshment than a renovation. Nicely done IMO, more modern look and using the same very comfortable armchairs as in ORY W hall 2 lounge.
The last 2 pictures are the the "private" Ultimate corner at the lower level

Lounge AF - Gates L terminal E

Do you know if AF plan to renovate the lounge L this year? If yes, do we know the period when AF will close it? Is-it true that AF wants to open a new one lounge for gates K and L?
Thanks for your answer per advance.

I have no precise information, but I would tend to think that yes, they will renovate the L lounge this year. First because it needs it and second because this is the only 2E lounge that does not propose warm food. If they do it, I guess that it will be during the summer because less J travel (and this was the period during which they renovated the K lounge).
Regarding your other question, no there is no plan for new lounges for gates K and L. Now that the 2G new lounge is open, the next lounge projects for AF are :
- a new single large lounge in 2F, to replace the 2 current ones. It will be located centrally, just post main security check-point in a building to be built between the 2 boarding piers. The lounge will be on 2 floors.
- a new arrival lounge in 2E (landside), to replace the 2C one.

Lounge Gate L.

I'm thinking also AF will wait the summer time to renovate the lounge gates L as they have done for the lounge gates K of the terminal 2E.
We will see when AF will inform their customers.
Thanks.

Interesting to hear that they still plan to build a new central lounge in 2F, thanks for sharing the information Goldorak. ^

This also explains why they didn't do a real renovation of the existing 2F lounges, but merely a "refresher". Do you have any information when the new 2F lounges are supposed to be built and when they are expected to be opened? Also, I am trying to figure where they could be? I presume on two lower levels below security control? That seems the most logical place, as there is really no obvious space on the same level where security, shops and gates are and no point in changing that + if it was the lower levels below security that would in fact be on the same levels as the current lounge. Eager to hear more.

I don't remember precisely the dates, but the project got delayed and I think it's not before 2020.
If you know the main central security check-point in 2F (I'm sure you know ), the new lounge building will be right after the check-point. There is no shop here, so nothing to move. There is just the wall structure in which they will make the lounge gate connecting to the new building. It was my understanding that the upper level of the lounge will be at the same level as the security check-point and there will be an additional lower level. But, TBH, I have not seen the plan, so take that with caution.

hope there will be also a direct access from the central lounge to each pier, without the need to go out via the main central entrance to enter/exit the lounge. ideally there should be one lounge but 3 entrance check points.

Doubt it, but I might be wrong of course. The plan is to remove the SkyP security checkpoint that is at the far left of the terminal to keep only the central one and the entrance will be just in front of the checkpoint. If you arrive from a connecting flight either from 2F or 2E, the escalator from the lower level is very close to the checkpoint and so there will be just 50m to walk. Of course, from the lounge, having access to both pier to board your flight would be nice, but again I don't think this is in the plan. And it would also require a lot of extra AF ressources to monitor each entrance IMO,

MPL - Montpellier Méditerranée (Fréjorgues)

A lounge in MPL was long awaited. For AF ops, this airport lounge was part of shuttle-ization of MPL ops from ORY and the introduction of SkyPriority.
Name of the lounge : MPL -salon groupe Proméo

Location: upstairs after security and the duty-free shop

Opening Hours : 5:15 am to 9 pm (Saturday : up to 7 pm)

Entry requirements : usual Skyteam requirements, but of course FB gold/Plat have access on AF/A5 domestic flights. Paid access for €18.

Food offer : minimal but at least you can eat something. In the evening, there were salted tarts, cold cuts, cheese. I am sure in the morning you have typical French pastries.

Drinks offer : water, sodas, beer, red wine, Nespresso coffee.

Services
Wifi: yes, but very slow
Showers: no
Toilets: no
Quiet zone: no
Loungers/sleep area: no but a couple of comfortable sofas
Business area: no
Spa: no
TV area: yes
Passengers are called: no
Information screen: yes
Newspapers: yes (French only)

Other information
Number of seats: about 50
Level of noise:low
Design: looks like the new ORY Hall 2 lounge
View: no. This is a negative aspect of this lounge (almost no natural light)
Multi floors: no
Terrace: there is a terrace adjacent to the lounge, but not accessible from the lounge (it is in fact the smoking area of the terminal, and this is a bit unpleasant as people are lurking into the lounge in an unplesant way sometimes)
Smoking area: no (but very close - see above)
Direct boarding: no

Too bad I don't live in Montpellier anymore, this is a very nice lounge, indeed!
Is there a priority lane for security (even though it might not be useful in MPL)?
