Paid access options for AF lounges are displayed after the lounge list.

EUROPE
France
  • CDG : AF lounges in
    • Terminal 2F (Schengen)
    • Terminal 2G (Schengen) : More info here.
    • Terminal 2E (non-Schengen) : one lounge in each concourse (K, L, M gates).Pictures of the renovated L lounge can be found here. La Première lounge is located in 2E-K and is subjected to special rules for access (P pax on AF-operating flights only, or capacity-controlled paid access for J pax flying on an AF-operating flight without P class).
    • Terminal 2C : arrival lounge, located landside at the extreme right of the terminal, after the last check-in counter, just before the corridor leading to 2A. This lounge has specific access rules and there is a specific thread about this lounge. This lounge is definitely closed. No arrival lounge facility is currently available for AF/Skyteam pax ending their journey in CDG (usual lounges are still available for transit pax).
Note that, among Skyteam partners :
- KL, AZ, UX depart from T2F and use AF lounges.
- ME, DL, VN, CZ, MU, RO, AM, KE, KQ depart from T2E and use AF lounges.
- SU and SV depart from T2C, where AF is not present anymore. So those airlines are using the contract lounges available in this terminal.
- OK departs from T2D, where AF is not present anymore. OK is using the contract lounge (SheltAir lounge) available in this terminal. (NO GUESTS ALLOWED FOR AF-TICKETED PAX on OK-SERVICE)
- AR, GA, CI and Xiamen do not serve CDG.

I haven't flown AF349 since the new YUL lounge opened so haven't had the opportunity to pre flight dine there.

This sounds really backwards to me!
So somebody have to contact you prior to 48hours before the flight...
Is it AF (and which department) that has to contact one or is it Plaza premium (runs the lounge) after directions from AF? Either way that doesn't seem realistic, so I'm +1 in nobody wants the service when one can not sign up for it proactively?

I think I heard somewhere that they were serving the in-flight meal, that could probably explain the 48hours?

The ambiance "music" is annoyingly repetitive, simple computer-generated noise played at an unpleasantly high volume, rendering the lounge the feel of a cheap disco ; even my noise-cancelling headphones were not up to the job of rendering the lounge habitable, so I went out into the quieter(!) terminal instead.
Thanks for this review. Were there opening hours? Curious how early I can show up for my 2:00am AF departure.

After all these years or bashing the aspire BHX I notice to my shock that there is no review yet! So lo and behold:

Name of the lounge
Aspire BHX (main)

Location
BHX, after the duty free on the left

Opening Hours
4.30-20.30. closed 25th Dec

Entry requirements
Skyteam biz or elite+, priority pass, paid access for something like £25

Food offer
Small Hot buffet, small desserts buffet, salad bar

Drinks offer
Soft drinks free serve, alcohol (beer, wine and bottom shelf liquor) served at bar.
The beer is sometimes a little cold, sometimes lukewarm. Champagne and prosecco are paid drinks.

Services
Wifi: yes, fast and reliable
Showers: no
Toilets: no (1mns walk outside, in main hall)
Quiet zone: Yes, reserved for biz/elite pax
Loungers/sleep area: no
Business area: same as quiet area
Spa: lol
TV area: (not sure)
Passengers are called: no
Information screen: yes
Newspapers: no

Other information
Number of seats: ~100
Level of noise: medium
Design: old and run down
View: yes, nice view on tarmac and runway
Multi floors: no
Terrace: no
Smoking area: no
Direct boarding: no

The worst lounge in BHX, and possibly in the UK. Filthy floors and crumb laiden seats are a frequent occurence.

The lounge is consistently busy with paid guests, who can get quite noisy. On the + side the quiet area near the entrance is exclusive for biz+elites. That area is just a bit nicer but is still quite filthy. Note that star alliance use the same lounge, so yoi can't escape!

The staff do what they can, and they are friendly and helpful. I was grateful to see them turn down some priority pass guests so even though the regular lounge was full the biz section was kept fairly empty.

(Note that if you are hoping to enter this fine establishment using PP you're almost guaranteed to get turned down as it's always busy)

There are 3 other lounges in BHX, the Aspire south which you can also use; it is less run down, less busy and therefore less bad, but it closes very early and is a long walk away from the skyteam gates.
The number one lounge is also a PP lounge and to be honest it's a lot nicer, to the point where I would consider paying to get in, if I had a long time to kill. Really sad that AFKL wont fork the extra £5 like they do in MAN... Final lounge is emirates so obv very restricted. I can only imagine it's fairly decent.

Used mugs and breadcrumbs on seats are there to welcome you (the staff eventually cleared the mugs but the crumbs were left in state)

Dirty bowls by the dozen. Also the cuttlery rack is still the same one that gave me a splinter back in 2019 causing me to bleed (which I had promptly reported to them AND to kl)

The business/quiet area.

Desert and coffee

Hot buffet (sausage, mac and cheese, mash, veg) not really special

Salad bar

Alcohol station

Tried to be the first to add a BOS SkyClub Express entry for this thread, but my wife insisted on choosing the lounge which was nearest where our AF flight was departing. The BOS lounge is still in line with what this thread would lead you to expect.

CDG 2E AF Lounges

Question.. Can you visit all AF 2E lounges on the same day? Or just the Pier you fly out from?

Depends on what access basis. If just by flying business class, then you are restricted to your terminal. Otherwise yes, if you are allowed to cross imigration (sometimes they require booking cards too to allow you to go to a specific terminal). So it very much depends what you want to access and what are your credentials. Easiest on departures out of Schengen through CDG is to first visit the Schengen and then non-Schengen lounge.

OP is asking about 2E lounges, so obviously he/she will go through immigration.

You are normally entitled to go only to your concourse of departure. Some people have reported being successful going to another 2E concourse than theirs, but not recently and CDG security persons are very reluctant to let people go. And, sincerely, no 2E lounge worths the hassle to go through security several times (because each 2E concourse has its own security control). Even if L and M lounges are better than the K one, the K lounge is perfectly acceptable.

So at GRU AF now uses yet another lounge, W Premium instead of Amex Centurion.

To be honest I was more than underwhelmed. Lounge is at the very very end of the pier, miles away from security, and from your gate too.

Was overcrowded and I found the very last available seat that wasn't a bar stool. Ironically the Centurion lounge was super empty as I checked it out in passing. This is the time of the day where there are 2 AFKL flights so I guess no matter which lounge, it will always be overcrowded. (Star alliance has a huuuge lounge though, a smarter choice)

W premium may be a decent lounge otherwise but it is not fit for two 777s full of pax.

Food and drink was underwhelming. The brazilian sparkling was low quality. The only person besides me who had some was this lovely lady from the KLM flight, she must have known what she would get once onboard was yet worse.

Review above.
