Status Changes:
There have been a couple of questions regarding C+ when a member's status drops down after January 31. Typically, seats will hold unless there is an equipment change. If there's a change, the passenger(s) will most likely be seated in regular economy. There are reports of some success contacting @delta to get reseated in C+.

Delta - Comfort+

Comfort+ FAQ - LINK
Offering:
- C+ is a complimentary upgrade (space available) for DM and PM after booking. GM can access for free at T-72 and FO at T-24. (There is no longer a discount for GM/FO.)
- Sky Priority boarding
- Extra legroom and, on international a/c, extra recline
- Free wine, spirits and regional craft beers, plus premium snacks
Complimentary premium entertainment from Delta Studio™(No longer relevant as of July 1st; Entertainment now complimentary in Y)- On JFK-LAX/SFO flights, a Luvo® sandwich wrap and frozen Greek yogurt bar, pillow, blanket, and sleep kit are included
A few general notes regarding DL C+:
- On international a/c, the bulkhead seats often have a significant amount leg room (other than the 764).
- The bulkhead and exit row seats are often narrower as the tray table and/or IFE unit are in the arm rests. The arm rests do not move which, coupled with a smaller seat, can be uncomfortable for larger pax.
- The first row of regular economy seating after EC IS NOT recommended. The last row of EC has the EC recline and members have reported that there's no extra space between this row and the first row of regular Y.
- Selecting C+ Seats - You cannot select or purchase C+ seats until after booking is completed on revenue or award tickets. The UG has to clear as well.
Internationally Configured Aircraft
Per DL, International/transoceanic C+ offers 35" pitch and 6" recline. (LINK)
747-400 / 744 / 74S:
- dl.com seat map: 747-400
Rows 22-26 - 42 total C+ seats. - Legroom:
Row 22 ABC/HJK and 24 DEFG are the bulkhead seats. 22C/H are noted as having unlimited legroom and some have noted that people can congregate due to the proximity of the lavatories, which are located directly in front of the first row of C+ on the 744. 22ABC have recently received poor reviews because of the lav and galley - people tend to congregate in this area and it can become stinky. Comments on 22K indicate that pax can access the aisle without disturbing other passengers. Also, the lavatory near 22HJK is blocked for BusinessElite pax, so there tends to be fewer disturbances and become less smelly over the course of a long flight. Also, seats 22B and 22J can be used for bassinets.
Some might prefer the legroom of row 35/51 on the 744 with less recline and tray in armrest. - Related Threads and Posts:

The C+/Economy seats on a/c has winged headrests. - Legroom:
Row 29/31 seats are the bulkhead seats and have plenty of leg room. Rows 30-32/32-34 are standard C+ seats with USB and plug power. Row 44 (exit row) has excellent legroom, but no power outlets. The window seat sin this row are narrower because the tray table is in the armrest does not move up. The recline is standard recline.

On the 764, the bulkhead seats (row 15) have less leg room than the 763's; there's probably about 2' or so between the edge of the seat and the wall. The bulkhead seats do not have moveable arm rests and the tray table/IFE monitor are in the arm rests. In my experience, I felt like the A332/333 and 763's had better recline in EC than the 764. - IFE:

I'll be flying JFK-NRT soon and am contemplating an EC seat.
One of the bennies touted for ugrading from regular Y to EC is "Enjoy complimentary beer, spirits & wine on select international flights." However, on Delta's Economy Class Dining page (http://www.delta.com/traveling_check....../dining.jsp), under "Beer Wine and Cocktails," it mentions that "On international flights of approximately six hours or longer, beer, wine and sake are complimentary."
JFK-NRT is definitely 6 hours or longer. Are adult beverages complimentary in regular Y for that route? If so, I wonder why it's mentioned as an "upgrade to EC" benefit.

Free EC upgrade on A330-300?
I'm a GM and I booked two coach reward tickets to Europe in May. Will be coming home on DL95, BCN to ATL in an A330-300. I choose seats 10A and 10B during booking which are EC seats, but wasn't charged. Although I'm confirmed, if I try to change to different EC seats on the same flight the website then asks me to fork over the $80 ($40 x 2). Whats the deal?
I'm fine with sticking in 10A & B, but I'm afraid DL will catch wise and bump me out of the seats without so much as an email.

Because that would mean changing the seats (and longer to roll out). They were able to EC by just adjusting existing seats.

The KLM agent said it was because Golds are "Elite Plus" and get EC for free...which is not what their website says..

EC vs. Exit Row 30 on 767-400
I'm trying to select among several options for a TATL (westbound) flight tomorrow morning. I'm on a 767-400. Options are 30F (currently selected), 15 A,B,E and F, 16C and 17E. I'm 6'1" so legroom is a good thing. Not keen on seats where the tray tables are in the arm rest (rows 15 and 30) but can live with it if those seats are otherwise better. Any and all thoughts and suggestions (other than praying for an op-up which I never get) will be most appreciated. Thanks.

My Review of EC ATL-AMS
I flew EC going ATL-AMS last week, DL 56 (A330). The extra legroom seemed okay, but I soon discovered that the 50% greater recline meant 50% more of the guy in front of me in my lap. Plus, the IFE electronics box was under the seat in front of me (to make matters worse, the IFE was inop on my row the whole flight).
For comparison, I flew back AMS-ATL on DL 57, also an A330 but w/o EC. The legroom actually seemed about the same, but this time the recline of the seat in front of me was less bothersome.
I had flown EC on KLM a while back, and from what I remember it was somewhat nicer than DL.

I hope this doesn't sound ungrateful...
I'm not sure if this is the proper location to post this question or not, but it does concern EC.
I'm a GM and flew JFK-NRT a week or so back. I purchased a T class Coach Fare and paid the $80 to upgrade to EC. All I expected was extra legroom and recline. Since the 747's don't have personal entertainment, I bought a book and loaded up my laptop with movies to pass the long flight.
To my surprise upon checking in, I was op-upped (or is it "opped-up?") to BE. I rarely sit up front, not to mention on such a long-haul flight, so it was an experience of a lifetime. Didn't need my book or laptop at all. I am truly spoiled now, and will miss the comfort.
Here's the part that I hope I don't sound ungrateful... Upon talking to another passenger, he claimed that he was op-upped as well, but from regular coach, not EC. He also was a GM. If this were true (and all I have is his word), can I ask for the $80 to be refunded?
What's paid for is paid for and this is not a complaint at all. It was a great experience! I know that I'm not entitled to the money, but why pay $2 for a cup of coffee when others are paying $1 for the same?

Glad you got to sit up front though!

See here on the bottom of the page for the Delta rules on this. Note that if you are downgraded for any reason, then you are entitled to a refund of the extra EC fee you paid.

You're out of luck: when you purchase EC and you are upgraded to business for whatever reason, then there is no refund. Guess this is because you get more than you have paid for.

You're right. Thanks for pointing that out.

Be glad, never been op-upped in all my years as DM/PM. Gladly would pay $80 if it meant I could be op-upped.

Row 15 Showing as 'Available' not EC?
Flying DL 9 LHR-ATL on 2/6. I was originally in 15C which was marked as EC when I selected it - 15AB and 15FG were not available. I just went to check my seats, and noticed that 15AB and 15FG were now available, but they are not marked as EC? I just want to make sure I will get the EC service (i.e. free drinks) and seat...
Thoughts on why this changed? Can anyone select these seats now? My outbound ATL-LHR shows this row as EC.

Row 15 of the 764 IS EC...I've sat there and seen it with my own eyes. I've seen them hold 15 AB/FG for gate assignment though.
It just does not have the loads of legroom that the 763 EC bulkhead seats have.
