I suspect contract staff might do this better because of contractual service level agreements. But then again no evidence of that so far.
I expect MAN will do it better - maybe others will report back before me, otherwise Ill report back tomorrow.

Another day 1 fail

BA1498 gate 16/17 to Glasgow. Another fail. Just called group 1. I said to the lady no group 0. She replied yes you are and I said but you didnt call them. She just said oh we forgot that this time. Incidentally about 20 or 30 checked bags from group 4 to 9 and the cabin crew were great at turning them back at the door to go and leave them where they were meant to.

Excuse me while I die of NOT surprise....!

Dear BA,
Please fly some of your staff to JFK and DFW and let them spend a day watching AA staff board CKs/AA Elites/Normal boarding Groups.
Copy them.

Oh dear. (not that it sounds like it would matter anyway! )
Was it a very recently booked flight, by any chance?

I know this has been said, but please make sure to email GGL and tell them about any problems. Equally, feedback to any of the HVC team in the CCR.

Former GGL, now gold. Received group 0 on my BP today, no idea why. LHR-DFW.
Didn't matter in the end, as groups 0-1 were boarded together, even on a mostly full A380.

Update. Boarding worked very well at gate 18. Clearly called group 0 and 5 people came forward. Now in the holding area with 30+ children, people needing assistance and people checking luggage 😂

Muc, ba954

Perfectly implemented today for BA954 from LHR to MUC. Group 0 was called early, separately and was enforced. Was let through and then was asked to wait in the preboarding area before the escalator. Group 1 was held before the self-scanning gates.

Update: people whose bags were checked in beforehand were told to board with group 3.

That sounds perfect and what I would have expected.

In fact, unless anyone has received an email I haven't received, BA hasn't actually officially told us what the process should be and where Group 0 fits into the order for boarding, so much of this expectation and feedback is based on how AA and LX do it for CK and HON.

Indeed, BA's own GGL page has changed from saying Group 0 will be "first to board" to saying "one of the first to board", so it suggests that they may not know themselves how it should work. This may explain why it's playing out like it is.
