NCL gate 3 0930d
Well this was a bit unusual as I met one of the infamous group 0s in the lounge. Plane was in very early. Gate was open around 0900. Nothing really done for group 0 but once the gate door was open it was straight onboard. I would like to say I shepherded Wilf on to the plane at -25 which in itself is a minor miracle.
LHR gate A18 1415d to NCL
one of the worst again. Nothing said. Lots of pre boards as lots of families travelling this Easter weekend. As they were sent down someone came to the front of the group 1-3 tensa and called for group 1. I asked about group 0 and she made some excuse about it being fairly new and not knowing. So pretty poor tbh.
Summary
So a fair sample over the last six days. Even before Sunday I was coming to the conclusion that at T5 the was this should work is either calling group 0 with pre boards to wait behind the gate, or emailing GGLs they can just go to the side and join the pre boards at T5. On most flights there are likely to be no groups 0s, and I guess max around 2-3 so it wouldn’t cause a crowding issue. Which brings me to another point, I don’t think BA has sent any communication to GGLs to inform them group 0 rolled out to all routes on 26 March or how it should work. Why would you introduce a benefit for a set of frequent flyers and not tell them? Anyway I was asked to feed back my experience to BA so I will be collating my posts and sending them in soon. I hope this all becomes a bit more consistent in due course.
