LGW-AMS on Thursday 28/3: There was a separate group zero announcement prior to it extending to groups zero and one, zero to two, etc. Earlier, anyone who volunteered to check their hand luggage was offered pre-boarding.

AMS-LCY today 1/4: Group 0 was announced, with a discernible gap until again extending the invitation to board one group at a time. Those in groups 4 and 5 were asked to check their larger bags, or else they'd be taken during boarding anyway. No pre-boarding for volunteers was mentioned or evident.

(Given the treatment of bags by the handler, in plain sight of us at the gate, I felt sorry for anyone with hold luggage today)
