Boarding at DOH for BA123 appeared to be 2 long lines to get into the gate pen. Asked the Qatar agent standing outside the gate which line should group 0 join. A slightly quizzical look followed by a request to see my boarding pass. The agent then went to speak to what appeared to be the gate supervisor and returned a few seconds later to beckon me through announcing to his colleague "Group 0". Initial visual check of boarding pass and passport, "apology for keeping you waiting" (it had all taken under a minute) and sent to the secondary boarding pass scan to receive the red light beep before replacement 1E and !F boarding passes for FLUB issued. Gate supervisor instructed us to " take a seat, you will be boarding first"
Minute or 2 later Group 0 announced. Not sure if DOH is GGL/Premier heavy but 10 to 15 passengers immediately headed for the jet bridge. No further checking of boarding passes at this stage, anyone moving towards the airbridge being simply waved through. Call for "now group 0 and 1" followed seconds later as I was half way between my seat and the airbridge (a 10 metre walk). Ended up circa 15th to 20th passenger to board.
