BA206, MIA-LHR 27th Oct. Success, well sort of.
Seat was upper deck, so waited near the G1 entrance for upstairs, MIA is that area downstairs where the entrances are either side of the escalator down from the floor above. The tensa barriers had been closed in a way that formed an entrance chute already full, They’d called families and those needing extra time, and their associated entourages. Announced they were about to call G1, so a large herd rushed the entrance, when rather quietly the person about to open the barrier asked if there were any G0. When I said yes she opened a side barrier for me, and to the great delight of those waiting I was able to jump the queue, well apart from the 30 or so pre-boarders.

BLL-LHR - Group 0? What's that?
Rare that I bother writing to BA about the lack of Group 0, but this time I will.

Sometimes I try to use it and theres just an epic fail, like at MIA today. It just wastes everyones time.
As another poster mentioned, they close off the tensa barriers in a daft way which overcrowds the area. In the past its been ok as G0, being allowed in via a side entrance and with the G1s also politely lined up, but today nada. I got sent packing to the back of the g1-3 queue. Meaning they then waited a while for any G0 they knew they had (me, if there were others they werent there), before moving on to G1. And not deliberately on my part, the chap Id earlier shown by g0 pass to was looking right at me!
Naturally there were some G2/3/9/whatever folks in the 1-3 line so as I eventually walked through with the G1s I asked a few of them to join me as guests just to prove a point. I dont know what the point was but I think it was a collective sigh.
The lack of organisation is insane. Just like the new lounge which is fabulous except for putting Concorde dining off a corridor by the loos.
I promise I was (and am) perfectly nice, Im writing this with a little dramatic effect.

DUB-LHR yesterday, Group 0 was called but two American women with Group 1 were already queuing before me.
I don't know how they got there, their travel colleagues with Group 1 were queuing in Group 1, one of the two women repeatedly visited them behind talking about seat numbers (I don't think they had mobility issues either). She was telling she got Row 26 so should be an emergency seat and had to board first or something.

Yesterday on BA1369 from Manchester to London Heathrow
Gate was A11, the agent called Group 0. Problem! The cabin wasn't ready and there were numerous wheelchair users, so the agent said it was a miscall and sent customers back to the waiting area.
Then, about ten minutes later when boarding started again, the agent called Group 1 instead of Group 0.
Right, this is a failure... LOL...

Was fine on yesterday's 09:40 MAN-LHR flight. Looked like one person boarded as group zero.
Still ended up queuing on the airbridge.
LHR-DUB flight around 12:50, called group zero.
Group 1 was queued up in the left lane, and the agent at the entrance put two women and myself as group.1 in the right lane.
The left lane was opened for group 1, the agent looked at the right lane, and the two women were now possibly group 2, so had to wait behind them (or DYKWIA? and push forward).
Usual rewarding of group 3 boarding for the 10 or so who checked bags in, but they went downstairs before anyone else as far as i could see.

However - as the gate staff know there are G0s anyway - the best would be my experience at BER recently where I was paged by name. Now that is unambiguous.

There are times where a FF number isn't in the booking for whatever reason, or a flash of a shiny card allows whatever group boarding.

MEX-LHR was a success this week. We arrived at the gate area and were swiftly approached by a gate agent who cleared the way and scanned our boarding passes almost 20min before boarding. She must have remembered us from check-in and we were the only group 0s.
Boarding was delayed due to BA crew only arriving when boarding should have started.

Usually scrum of group 1-3s hanging around the entrance to the boarding queue entrances at Malaga on Saturday. 12 rows of CE.
Agent comes to the front of the queue and calls for any Group 0s. I signal and make way to the front of the queue. As I do I hear from another passenger wow, you dont see many of those. He is a very frequent flyer.

Still amazed by how BA seems to be consistently poor in queue management compared to other airlines (but I havent flown European LCC in over 30 years so Im probably spoiled!)

First time flying to Malaga and it was one of the densest scrums of people to navigate through that Ive seen - but was working well with Group 0.

MLE change to Yes
MLE now has a new terminal; terminal 1, with jet ways, 2 attached this week to 1L and 2L on a BA 777-300.
Clear separate call for Group 0 with the station manager in attendance looking after things at the gate. The jetway to door 1L had a staff member presumably directing everyone but F passengers to the other jetway with somewhat mixed success.
