Thanks!

On March 1, 2015, DL rebranded Economy Comfort as "Comfort+."
Delta - Comfort+
dl.com: LINK
Comfort+ FAQ - LINK
Offering:
  • C+ is a complimentary upgrade (space available) for DM and PM after booking. GM can access for free at T-72 and FO at T-24. (There is no longer a discount for GM/FO.)
  • Sky Priority boarding
  • Extra legroom and, on international a/c, extra recline
  • Free wine, spirits and regional craft beers, plus premium snacks
  • Complimentary premium entertainment from Delta Studio™ (No longer relevant as of July 1st; Entertainment now complimentary in Y)
  • On JFK-LAX/SFO flights, a Luvo® sandwich wrap and frozen Greek yogurt bar, pillow, blanket, and sleep kit are included

A few general notes regarding DL C+:
  1. On international a/c, the bulkhead seats often have a significant amount leg room (other than the 764).
  2. The bulkhead and exit row seats are often narrower as the tray table and/or IFE unit are in the arm rests. The arm rests do not move which, coupled with a smaller seat, can be uncomfortable for larger pax.
  3. The first row of regular economy seating after EC IS NOT recommended. The last row of EC has the EC recline and members have reported that there's no extra space between this row and the first row of regular Y.
  4. Selecting C+ Seats - You cannot select or purchase C+ seats until after booking is completed on revenue or award tickets. The UG has to clear as well.
************************************************** ***********
Internationally Configured Aircraft
Per DL, International/transoceanic C+ offers 35" pitch and 6" recline. (LINK)

747-400 / 744 / 74S:
  • dl.com seat map: 747-400
    Rows 22-26 - 42 total C+ seats.
  • Legroom:
Row 22 ABC/HJK and 24 DEFG are the bulkhead seats. 22C/H are noted as having unlimited legroom and some have noted that people can congregate due to the proximity of the lavatories, which are located directly in front of the first row of C+ on the 744. 22ABC have recently received poor reviews because of the lav and galley - people tend to congregate in this area and it can become stinky. Comments on 22K indicate that pax can access the aisle without disturbing other passengers. Also, the lavatory near 22HJK is blocked for BusinessElite pax, so there tends to be fewer disturbances and become less smelly over the course of a long flight. Also, seats 22B and 22J can be used for bassinets.
Some might prefer the legroom of row 35/51 on the 744 with less recline and tray in armrest.

  • dl.com seat maps: 777-200LR / 777-200ER
    Rows 31-34; 36 C+ seats
NOTE: As DL reduced the number of Business Elite seats on the 777s, rows 29-32 are now the C+ seats.
The C+/Economy seats on a/c has winged headrests.
  • Legroom:
Row 29/31 seats are the bulkhead seats and have plenty of leg room. Rows 30-32/32-34 are standard C+ seats with USB and plug power. Row 44 (exit row) has excellent legroom, but no power outlets. The window seat sin this row are narrower because the tray table is in the armrest does not move up. The recline is standard recline.
    IFE:
These a/c are equipped with IFE at each seat.

  • Legroom:
On the 764, the bulkhead seats (row 15) have less leg room than the 763's; there's probably about 2' or so between the edge of the seat and the wall. The bulkhead seats do not have moveable arm rests and the tray table/IFE monitor are in the arm rests. In my experience, I felt like the A332/333 and 763's had better recline in EC than the 764.
  • IFE:
These a/c are equipped with IFE at each seat.

C+ and Priority Boarding/Baggage Allowance:
Passengers in C+ get Sky Priority boarding unless their elite status provides a higher boarding zonemu access. There is no additional baggage allowance unless elite status or fare class provide it.

Status Changes:
There have been a couple of questions regarding C+ when a member's status drops down after January 31. Typically, seats will hold unless there is an equipment change. If there's a change, the passenger(s) will most likely be seated in regular economy. There are reports of some success contacting @delta to get reseated in C+.

If C+ is almost empty can someone with no status ask to be moved up there at the gate?

It's been years since I have flown with no status.

I have friends flying SFO-JFK booked with my companion ticket (I am not flying). Their seat map looks very empty for a flight 3 weeks out.

I was just wondering regarding weight/balance issues if they would move anyone up there.

I was in C+ flying ATL-BWI. The FA looked annoyed when I asked for a vodka and Coke Zero and wordlessly handed me bottle of Skyy, the can of soda and a pack of pretzels. Are snack baskets only on longer flights?

I would be very surprised. I don't have practical experience with Delta, but I know this is not likely on United.

I thought 900 miles, because I haven't been C+ on a flight long enough for a snack basket yet. Drinks yes, but just pretzels....

can someone give me a review of the row 19F seat on 757-200 (75S) version route is from SFO to JFK. there are information about the 75E version, but i can't find any info about (75S), i know about the exist bump that would block the legroom in the 75E version. Does (75S) has that disadvantage too? i am trying to decide between 19F and 18E for sleeping.

767Z v1 extra C+

FYI I flew on a 767Z v1 ATL-EZE on March 26. 16CDE and 17CDE both had Economy Comfort headrests and appeared to have the extra pitch. Seat map showed those two center sets of seats as just "premium" (dark blue). I meant to make a note of DL's fleet number that we flew, but forgot.

I'd read one or two recent comments here that this might be the case, and it was. We were in 21FG, and 17CDE were empty. Dude in 20F self-upgraded, unchallenged by FAs. 20G was empty so we split up and each had two seats, but still had the lavatory noise and crowding, and 20G appeared to have about half the recline of 21G.

Anyone else noticing these extra EC seats?

I can further confirm that our MD88 this morning ATL-MSP had five rows of new quilted C+ seats (DL's map shows 3 rows). Hmmmmmm.

Flew C+ ATL-BZE and BZE-LAX last week. Neither plane had the new quilted seats but both were pleasant and provided snack baskets and free booze. During the BZE-LAX flight they brought the basket by several times, and while the beverage cart came by twice, there were at least a couple more instances of FAs coming to C+ to check if we wanted drinks or anything else.

Flying A330-300 ATL to AMS

Seat options are 11H and J (Economy Comfort, not bulkhead) or 27 A and B (exit row, near mid cabin restroom)

I guess I could take 10 F and G if they are really better, but I would rather it be the two side... feels less crowded to me

What are your thoughts. Right now I have 11 booked as it's the last set of "two" seats in EC.

Thanks!

I would only take row 10 bulkhead AB or HJ.
Centre section you get people misusing your footspace as a passageway between the aisles.

Row 27- there will be gathering around the lavatories for sure waiting for the next vacant one.

I find my flights better with the extra recline. YMMV.

If you have 11HJ (free? I'm assuming so), that seems better, I guess. I personally like the 'unlimited' legroom and being able to get up from the window seat w/o asking my travel partner to move, which would be the case in 11.

If you decide on exit row, and 27HJ is available, that's preferable over AB on the A333, as the crew rest unit door is on the AB side. I've had FAs slam that crew door quite a few times, it's loud. I have had very few problems with people stepping right in front of the HJ or AB seats while queuing for the lav, there's OH bins there that make standing really tight. I don't know how galley noise is up in 11. I've only paid for C+ on 763s, and there's not a galley near.

Also note that the window at 27 on the A333 is very far back, really you can only see out of it while reclined. I think the row 27 recline is acceptable, but it isn't C+ recline, I'll grant that. Random further observations: I like using the half-tray table from the armrest for drink/snack services. I also like the position of the flip-up TVs, but they have to be stowed below 10,000 feet. Seat cushion does seem slightly firmer in row 27.

19F not a comfort+ seat?

Had an equipment change ona 757 that moved me from 27a to 19f. Not sure why it moved me because that seat exists in most 757 configs. Anyways 19DE appear to be comfort+ on 757 (it's not 75x/v/s etc but just 757) so when looking at 757 map 19F isn't blue but just white. So is 19F really not comfort+?

I've sat in that seat on the 757 when I had no status. The reason it's not is the slidepack ends up really interfering with your legroom which can make for an uncomfortable flight.
