Hi fellow FTers!
I'm working on updated for the new roll out of Comfort + (C+)
Thanks!

On March 1, 2015, DL rebranded Economy Comfort as "Comfort+."
Delta - Comfort+
dl.com: LINK
Comfort+ FAQ - LINK
Offering:
  • C+ is a complimentary upgrade (space available) for DM and PM after booking. GM can access for free at T-72 and FO at T-24. (There is no longer a discount for GM/FO.)
  • Sky Priority boarding
  • Extra legroom and, on international a/c, extra recline
  • Free wine, spirits and regional craft beers, plus premium snacks
  • Complimentary premium entertainment from Delta Studio™ (No longer relevant as of July 1st; Entertainment now complimentary in Y)
  • On JFK-LAX/SFO flights, a Luvo® sandwich wrap and frozen Greek yogurt bar, pillow, blanket, and sleep kit are included

A few general notes regarding DL C+:
  1. On international a/c, the bulkhead seats often have a significant amount leg room (other than the 764).
  2. The bulkhead and exit row seats are often narrower as the tray table and/or IFE unit are in the arm rests. The arm rests do not move which, coupled with a smaller seat, can be uncomfortable for larger pax.
  3. The first row of regular economy seating after EC IS NOT recommended. The last row of EC has the EC recline and members have reported that there's no extra space between this row and the first row of regular Y.
  4. Selecting C+ Seats - You cannot select or purchase C+ seats until after booking is completed on revenue or award tickets. The UG has to clear as well.
************************************************** ***********
Internationally Configured Aircraft
Per DL, International/transoceanic C+ offers 35" pitch and 6" recline. (LINK)

747-400 / 744 / 74S:
  • dl.com seat map: 747-400
    Rows 22-26 - 42 total C+ seats.
  • Legroom:
Row 22 ABC/HJK and 24 DEFG are the bulkhead seats. 22C/H are noted as having unlimited legroom and some have noted that people can congregate due to the proximity of the lavatories, which are located directly in front of the first row of C+ on the 744. 22ABC have recently received poor reviews because of the lav and galley - people tend to congregate in this area and it can become stinky. Comments on 22K indicate that pax can access the aisle without disturbing other passengers. Also, the lavatory near 22HJK is blocked for BusinessElite pax, so there tends to be fewer disturbances and become less smelly over the course of a long flight. Also, seats 22B and 22J can be used for bassinets.
Some might prefer the legroom of row 35/51 on the 744 with less recline and tray in armrest.

  • dl.com seat maps: 777-200LR / 777-200ER
    Rows 31-34; 36 C+ seats
NOTE: As DL reduced the number of Business Elite seats on the 777s, rows 29-32 are now the C+ seats.
The C+/Economy seats on a/c has winged headrests.
  • Legroom:
Row 29/31 seats are the bulkhead seats and have plenty of leg room. Rows 30-32/32-34 are standard C+ seats with USB and plug power. Row 44 (exit row) has excellent legroom, but no power outlets. The window seat sin this row are narrower because the tray table is in the armrest does not move up. The recline is standard recline.
    IFE:
These a/c are equipped with IFE at each seat.

    C+ is rows 15-18
  • Legroom:
On the 764, the bulkhead seats (row 15) have less leg room than the 763's; there's probably about 2' or so between the edge of the seat and the wall. The bulkhead seats do not have moveable arm rests and the tray table/IFE monitor are in the arm rests. In my experience, I felt like the A332/333 and 763's had better recline in EC than the 764.
  • IFE:
These a/c are equipped with IFE at each seat.

Flying to Hawaii in C+:
- From DL's C+ page: 3-4" (7-10 cm) extra legroom/ Up to 50% more recline on select routes (JFK to/from SFO or LAX, and ATL/MSP/or JFK to/from HNL).

C+ and Priority Boarding/Baggage Allowance:
Passengers in C+ get Sky Priority boarding unless their elite status provides a higher boarding zonemu access. There is no additional baggage allowance unless elite status or fare class provide it.

Status Changes:
There have been a couple of questions regarding C+ when a member's status drops down after January 31. Typically, seats will hold unless there is an equipment change. If there's a change, the passenger(s) will most likely be seated in regular economy. There are reports of some success contacting @delta to get reseated in C+.

C+ on a five hour 757-300, only middles available. 15B or 15E? no one in front of you in B, but the armrest is in your seat...and there's a place for your carryon underneath you in E. i'm assuming you get a 'real' tray table in E, yes? TIA.

I have 2 PNR's for 6 passengers on the same outbound flights (4 on one PNR and 2 on another). For the PNR with 4 pax, there is a C+ upgrade offer but no offer for the 2 pax on the other PNR. Same thing if I open the seat map (C+ seats simply show unavailable instead of able to purchase for a fee). And of course, it's the party who doesn't have the offer who wants to upgrade. Any idea why it would show up on one itinerary but not the other? ALL 6 pax are non-SM fliers. Would the offer be available by calling DL?

A319 row 10 Comfort+. What separates this row from F? A curtain or bulkhead wall? I haven't been on one of those planes in a long time and can't remember.

Thanks!

Got 17B on a 767 300 76L (2-3-2) initially which is bulkhead. A few hours before flight, had the choice for 19F instead and went with that despite the limited recline since I value under west storage and horizontal space more than legroom. Views are also nicer since you get almost two full windows whereas row 17 only gets a sliver of one window despite it being bulkhead.

Sometimes I question whether c+ is really worth it though, especially on an empty flight, the regular priority seats are pretty empty so you could get two seats to yourself whereas c+ is full.

I’ll be in Comfort Plus RDU-JFK which is less than 500 miles cutoff for spirits according to Delta.com. I’d be surprised if they don’t have some on board. Or does it mean it’s available for purchase? Looking for scotch mostly.

You won't get any. I fly RDU-NYC a lot and it's now coffee, tea or water. Even if you ask for a soda you won't get it.

Does anyone know if there is enough room to squeeze out of seat 15F on the 757-300 without having to make the 2 people next to you get up? Seat 15F is right behind the 2R door and therefore doesn't have a 14F in front of it. Watching videos it's hard to tell if the 2R door obstructs the path into/out of the seat that way.

I'm 6'1" and weigh too much, but I was able to manage it with minor crouching, no acrobatics required. YMMV.

Here's an interesting data point: I'm flying on a KL-ticketed Economy Light fare, with a DL marketed and operated flight for the domestic connection (even though it's Economy Light, it's Delta fare class V). As a FO, I was able to look at the seat map and choose a Comfort+ seat for free at T-48. I'm not sure why, but I'm not complaining.

Did you have some sort of schedule/flight change? Generally speaking, if you book a KL Economy Light fare involving DL flights, they will be KL-coded, not DL coded, unless something gets changed post-purchase. KL will also ticket DL fares in some cases on their website (this generally seems limited to itins with only non-stop DL operated flights between US and EU). If ticketed with a DL BE fares, the DL marketed flights should book into E class.

I used ITA Matrix Powertools to get the itinerary I wanted. DEN-BOS on DL 776 does not carry any partner codes, so you have to book it as a DL flight number. It booked into V class.

I need advice about whether we picked the wrong seats on the 767-400 in bulkhead Comfort Plus.

Comfort plus On a A350 row 16 aisle bulkhead. ATL-SCL

Comfort plus On 767-400 row 30 bulkhead on plane with Premium Plus section which we are not in. EZE-ATL

My husband insisted on bulkhead not realizing that 767-400 is such a bad config. Will we be miserable coming from EZE on overnight flight?

There might be two seats left in Premium Select in last row. On the 767-400. Is it worth switching?

Doing JFK-SNN this summer which I understand will be on a 757G/H (same config per the DL seatmap to Aerolopa, so not sure if they're used interchangeably).

All of C+ is open for purchase at $170, ordinarily as a Kettle Reserve I'd probably just hang on & see if I get a comp upgrade, however 19A/F are open so I'm tempted to purchase for the ostensibly unlimited leg room. I'm leabing toward 19A so I don't have to navigate the pair in 18, but #1752 on this thread makes it that the slides are an awful lot closer than they appear on the seat maps on DL & Aerolopa.

Row 36 is open too for $70, so I guess weighing up if C+ is worth the incremental $100 too (I'm only bringing carry on so no checked bag impact, Sky Priority would be nice I guess & then some liquor drinks? Anything I'm missing?)
