How to post

1. Do not use the "Reply with Review Button" but the regular one

2. Put the name of the hotel in the title of the post and the thread

3. Use the following format by extracting it, ie by using "reply quoting", copying the content into memory, then backing out of "reply quoting" and then pasting the copied content into a new post. Each line is formatted so that you can paste in between them having deleted these opening comments:

WIth this approach I hope to get a balance between the reqeust to have also older post in this thread and those requesting only to have newer up-to-date posts.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked a standard Queen Skyline room and received a double upgrade to a corner room on the 14th floor.
How are the rooms?
The rooms look a little dated now with small bathrooms but overall a decent sized room.
How is the exec. lounge?
n/a
What was good and what was bad?
Apart from the slightly dated decor, the hotel is well situated and offers enough value to ensure a good stay.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
We paid €90 a night (ex breakfast which we didn't need) so I would say this is great value for an IC, plus the location is very good.

IC Dallas

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked King Club room with club access. I received an upgrade to King suite, which was a bi-level room.

How are the rooms?
The room is large, but incredibly dated looking - they don't appear to have been updated since about 1995!

How is the exec. lounge?
I didn't go during happy hour, but outside of that there was nothing except soft drinks and a coffee machine which kept running out of milk - breakfast was OK. All in all, quite disappointing.

What was good and what was bad?
Good:
Large room with lots of space
Molton Brown toiletries
Fruit platter and chocolates
Useful free car service to anywhere around a 3 mile radius, subject to availability

Bad:
Decor throughout is very dated
Club lounge offering is pretty basic

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
I paid $195 for room with Club access which was reasonable, but overall it's not a great example of an IC - hence why it's no longer going to be one in a couple of months time. The question is what else there will be IHG-wise in Dallas instead

IC Ljubljana

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked a King Superior on the Chase annual free night. Received a Junior Suite on the Club level and club access. Not sure if that is the standard upgrade or due to the hotel being practically empty.

How are the rooms?
Excellent rooms and still had that "new hotel smell". Well laid out and floor to ceiling windows provide a beautiful view.

How is the exec. lounge?
Offered breakfast in either the club lounge or the restaurant and chose the restaurant. Did not use the lounge except for a few about 20 minutes while waiting for a bus to Bled. As with the rest of the hotel, it is very nice and has incredible views. Peanuts, pretzels, coffee, and juice available during the day.

What was good and what was bad?
The staff were all incredibly friendly and very helpful in determining what we should do with the time that we had in the city. We called down for some toiletries and they were at our door within 3 minutes. I would go so far as to say that we did not have any bad with this stay

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
For a $50 annual fee, it was absolutely worth it. Sure I could have used the cert for a more expensive room, but this fit my travel schedule. If I return to Ljubljana, I would happily pay the cash rate ~$150.

IC SINGAPORE Jan 20 to 23rd

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? Lowest-Heritage Room to Deluxe Room (normally a SGD30 per night additional cost.)

How are the rooms? Good decoration and very comfortable bed, clean, well maintained and large enough.

How is the exec. lounge? Too expensive to bother paying for it.

What was good and what was bad? Everyone of the staff we had contact with were friendly and effective. The breakfast was an extra SGD30 per person per night and I felt it was a bit overpriced

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? Two nights with a BOGO and one night award (50,000 points.) So, apx US$350 total for the three nights and 2 breakfasts for 2 nights (didn't need the third night's breakfast as it wasn't a great deal and we had a morning flight so used the SQ Lounge at SIN.") So, a decent value, assuming I get the 10% rebate on the award night based upon my AMB renewal for the higher $200 rate. Points and stay credit didn't post correctly at first, but after contacting the hotel they straightened it out nicely. Definitely consider returning next time as I like this area better that the other parts of Singapore I've stayed in.
