Group 0 boarding for GGL

No group 0 at Madrid tonight. Was no big deal in the end as I just had a small backpack, and even then, when I eventually got onboard there was space in the front bin above me.
Queue started to form at the group 1 sign (separate queue for 1, 2 and 3 in Madrid) but didnt bother joining as I wanted to see how things went and wasnt stressed about bin space. They announced that boarding was about to start, but it actually started and they were processing group 1. Asked the guy scanning if they were doing group 0 and he had an oops moment and told me I could board - and oddly my BP scanned red and got a already boarded messagenot sure what that was about and he let me board anyway. By this time about 30 people have been scanned and were down the jetway and I hear the automated announcement for group 0 😂.

This week...
EDI - Once yes. Two no (both domestic flights)
LHR - Once yes. One no (both domestic). For the no - a vocal shout for group one first. Then when about 15 golds went through in to queue before gates, and another 10 or so in the queue before the queue... then a pre-recorded 'group 0', followed a second later with pre-recorded 'group 0 and group 1'
For LHR no, they were militant with taking bigger bags of groups 3-9 and tagging 3+ for under seat bag - well done!

At JFK, Gate agents started asking people what group they were, and then lined the 3 Group 0s in the Group 4-7 tensa barrier, and the preboarders (maybe half of which had self selected as needing extra boarding) in the Group 1-3 tensa. Made everyone wait about 15 minutes, then allowed through.
Another vote for Group 0 not to include 1st! 2-3 bins already full, and one of the later arrivals had to distribute their multiple bags across the cabin.
It is frustrating that BA cannot get boarding to work, when most of their peers can.

A fail at PRG yesterday. The call was for “groups zero and one”. There was a lot of luggage congestion in the club cabin (due in part to the first two lockers iin the starboard side (we were in 1d and 1F) and if I had not been alert we would not have been able to stow our (modest) hand baggage near our seats.
The best way to give feedback? I have already made the point on the survey.

Good news on the BA500 on Sat 11th May to LIS from T5.
Group 0 called first and alone.
Sat in pre-boarding area.
Then invited to board first just before they let all the pre-boards on (as in families with small children etc).
So this was a Yes and this is how it should be done.

A fail yesterday at BHD for the BA1413.
no control at gate and random passengers filled the corridor at gate 4 well in advance of flight being called. Gate agent (not BA) simply shrugged her shoulders when I asked if they were boarding by group
BHD a bit of a mixed bag. My last 10 flights only 1 has called Group 0.

No problem at Amsterdam yesterday. Called first and kept in the pre-boarded area. Welcomed on plane by CSM with “you must be group zero”.
A good flight overall aside from the broken jet bridge on arrival intoT5 😐

In my experience, Customer Relations will get back to you within 48 hours - maybe with an apology, maybe up to 15000 Avios - or maybe not.
i know that the premium team is also collating responses and feeding back to the project team and the ground experience team.
How they cant just fix this, I really dont know. I know BA is a big company but their pace of change even at Heathrow is glacial.

Youre obviously far from alone in being so mystified ; but might there be a clue in the fact that there are (from what you say) three different teams involved, in one way or another ? Too many cooks perhaps ... ??
