Also - so does only the person on the booking with status get priority check in, boarding, etc, with IB? (And therefore non-status companions are expected to check in their cabin bags). Seat selection seems to extend to all pax IME so far.

Delhi has been repaired… sort of. Boarding yesterday seemed to be ex-cricketers and VIP’s first, then G0, then G1-2 (after myself and two others boarded). We’re getting there!

Two for two on the return trip as well - or, at least the intention was there. At CPH on Friday they beckoned us over ahead of special assistance and families, and even just before they made the official Group 0 call. All this only to stand sweating in the roasting jet bridge as the crew (who were brilliant though) were not ready.
At LHR C gates, Group 0 allowed into the holding pen, but so were all the million pre-boarding families (apparently families with teenage kids nowadays qualify for pre-boarding?!). I was hoping, like the week before, they would come and let us know when we could board, but it ended up being a mad rush for all down the single jet bridge to door L2… At least onboard, F was a bliss..

Yesterday, I flew from Manchester to London, 1407 / which was a rare failure. They called 0 and 1 at the same time, and I was surrounded by a crowd of people pushing forward.
But it's okay... I got 20k from them.

GGL but Group1 on BP
Sorry if Im being stupid, or if its been covered elsewhere. Im coming to the end of a LHR-HKG venture, and am GGL. On the outbound I was issued with a BP at the FW which included both GGL and Group 1. The agent simply shrugged his shoulders. Heading back to London tomorrow and have a mobile BP which, again, says Group 1. Is this a common thing or am I being singled out for special treatment 😊

One of the great ironies of Group 0 is how quite a few of the DYKWIA Group 1 passengers who used to use derogatory terms like gate lice have now actually turned into what they always complained about. Group 0 called at LCY, but almost impossible to get the gate in time since all the Group 1 passengers who had to be at the front of the queue stood blocking the way for anyone.

Ten years newly minted! I dont really care - got 10k Avios on the way out for complaining, so shall look forward to similar this evening! Much the easiest way to accumulate Avios in these sad days

In my opinion, the compensation for Group 0 in my case would be 10k. My flight was severely delayed and there were other complex issues. I understand that the remaining 10k is a gesture for that.

Yesterday, after arriving at Gate A11 for Flight 1496 from Heathrow to Glasgow, the gate agent asked us to wait for a moment, and after the crew boarded, my friend and I were invited inside the tensa.
After we waited for a bit, they clearly called Group 0, and after a few calls, they called Group 1 and the other groups in order.
The good thing was that only Group 0 and the pre-boarding group that needed help were invited inside the tensa, so the actual boarding process was really ideal.
They didn't open the tensa until we boarded. I really appreciated how they handled it!

Today, on flight 1455 departing from Edinburgh, after the surprise announcement that there would be no catering (I should have expected this when I saw the captain buying burritos and heading for the plane 😂🫣 ), Group 0 was called, and they gave me enough time to board and proceeded with the procedure.

At LHR today - A20. Was the only G0. Allowed through with pre-boards. Got slightly busy in the area because all the group 4+ who had their bags tagged were then allowed to the top of the escalator. However hats off to the gate agent who escorted me down in the lift first, by myself, before everyone else was allowed to start boarding (including pre-boards). Was #boardingnotboarding, but the thought was there.
