It might be evil is some respect but it has good intentions. I've found a few people that I had lost contact with, that I have now connected with, so I keep at it.

The recipe is for a pecan and oat crusted tofu entrée, with a salad of oats, lentils, and chopped vegetables. The problem is that the recipe lists about 20 ingredients under the heading "Tofu Marinade." After that is another heading, with several more ingredients, for "Tofu Crust." The directions start off with "Combine all ingredients for tofu marinade." What it doesn't tell you is that only the first 3 or 4 of the long list under the tofu marinade heading are for the marinade; the rest are for the salad, a completely different dish. It was only when I got down to the oats and lentils, which I knew were to be cooked for the salad, not part of the marinade, that I really questioned this. At that point I had a bowl full of things that shouldn't have gone together, which we had to toss. After starting over, we then realized there were ingredients in the list that were never mentioned in the recipe itself (we had to guess where things like ginger went since there was never any instruction on what to do with it), and curiously, the ingredients list was missing tofu, which was the main course of the dish. Anyway, it turned out fine. It was a lot of work in the end, but the taste was very good, and we would make it again, with some modification to the recipe. Unfortunately the recipes on that show's website don't allow for comments to be made, unlike most recipe websites on the web.

For some odd reason we are watching that show tonight to kill time until Mad Men comes on. We'd never seen it before. None of these women seem like much of a catch… and one has to wonder how much of the b!tchiness on the show is due to the bride's nasty personality, and how much is show for the camera. Anyway, we've decided that the guys on it are total idiots for being with these women to begin with. I'm finding the chain smoking, white trash, nymphomaniac, with the out of gas 20 year old Chrysler clunker bride from North Carolina especially annoying.

It really was. It needs better directions, and a little modification to the proportions on a couple of things (too much liquid for the oats, for example), but it was quite tasty.

Neighbors daughter's boy friend got himself his first car. It's outside and the stereo is thumping away with the engine off for the past 40 minutes. This should good when he tries to start the engine to go home.

have your jumper cables ready and make a deal, no more sitting there with stereo on :D

Must travel on the Sunday of a holday weekend more often. Snagged the exit row on both flights today.^^ Is requesting wheelchair service the new 'in' thing? I think the GA's were getting exhausted running up and down the jetway getting the wheelchair people boarded.
