Thanks for all the birthday wishes, everyone. It has gotten off to a smooth enough start, though I am in the office so it isn't perfect. ;)

Ah...hence the 12 in sbm12.

Just a happy coincidence. Had it been for that reason I'd have put the "8" in it too. As it happens I was the 12th person with the initials sbm to be issued a NetID at college. I ended up meeting sbm11 in a class my junior year and we were decent friends for the rest of our time there, but I probably never would have sought her out to say hi had I not noticed that her ID was one off from mine. Go figure.

Ron Popeil, the ShamWow guy, and Billy Mays (rip) made a career out of it....some people must be buying something

You are August as well? I know so many people around me in work and vendor contacts that are born in August....(mine was last week)

Happy birthday to COApologist. ;):p:rolleyes::-:

Those posting, or quoting, images that break hscroll are on the poop list. :-:

oops! Was that me with my birthday cake image? If so, humblest of apologies. It took me about 15 minutes to figure out how to put an image into my post. Most box denizens know I'm a bit of a tit when it comes to IT stuff. Anyway, if it was me, I'm sorry, but you'll have to tell me what i did wrong and why!!!

Dear mr. Brit fell for a Ron Popeil "set it and forget it" rotisserie about 10 years ago. And, would you believe, we have used that thing so much it's almost on its last legs. It is actually very good at cooking chicken, duck, etc.

Now the sham wow guy - OMG he is SOOOOOOOO creepy. He literally makes my skin crawl. Don't mind Billy Mays, he was a bit of a character, but the sham wow guy - yeugh!

jetBlue is offering an unlimited flights system-wide pass for $599, plus the taxes for each segment.

I really wish I didn't have a full time work commitment right now. I'm still considering it, even without earning any useful FF points, to fill out my FM map with lots of random segments. I'm going to spend my down-time today at work studying their timetable, I think.

I think someone else mentioned it here, but the game is showing in Espaņol in Telemundo and mun2 (which I didn't know I had) in English.

It appears to be a one month special promo. All tickets require a 3 day advance purchase otherwise there is a $100 change fee.

If they extend this deal farther into the future, I will definitely consider it. I could get a lot more than $599 of value out of four weekends of that pass.

Yea i checked the details and saw, Sept 8 to Oct 8 is somewhat of a problem for me, I could see making 2 business trips but they need to be extended length ones, plus I would have to fly out of AUS which is toll road heaven for me to get there. about $10 a trip + parking, the costs start to add up.

However domestic taxes are INCLUDED.

Agreed. If I wasn't in a f/t work gig I could do VERY well with this sort of thing. As it is, with their late night flights to Puerto Rico and my not needing to be at work until noon on Monday, I think that I could actually have some fun with it.

I'm starting my schemeing now.

I am not sure what my credit score is, but I think I will look into it. My SPG AMEX has a 20K limit and my Chase CO MC has a 15K limit. I don't carry a balance on either card.

You can get a free credit report and score through AMEX (details on their website). I found the offer on fatwallet.com. If you cant find it I'll look for it tonight. Too busy right now.

I think the AmEx reported scores are actually high, but it is free so no reason not to do it.
