... So, you will get it back before you leave, but it's going to be time-consuming. Was yours an application for a new passport or just pages added? |

It's going to be a giant PIA. I added pages to my passport at before my last trip to Asia and had an 8:15 am appointment. If you are not familiar with the process, it works as follows: you get an appointment, but your appointment actually designates a time for you to go to the window and take a number to wait in line, not the time at which you will meet with someone to submit your paperwork. I showed up five minutes early for my 8:15 am appointment, and it still took an hour to wait for my number and submit all the paperwork.

As if your piggybacking of coupons and discounts wasn't convincing enough, I am now convinced that you and my fiancee need to compare notes. She goes to car dealerships after having researched exhaustively and engages in a practice that she refers to as "negotiating". In practice, it is not much more than "This is what I want, this is what I'm paying. Ball's in your court, dude." I hear it is tremendous fun to watch the sales guys lose their cool. This is why she is buying my next car for me.

Not much to see there unless you are involved in state government or OSU. Speaking of OSU, I will be getting down there quite frequently since I will be dropping the youngest there next month to start school. I will become an empty nester after 26 years.
I went to Columbus on business last year, which was only the second time I had been there despite having grown up two hours away (the first time was to get some sort of proclamation from our state senator for something I did in high school). Congratulations on the empty nest, if congratulations are in order for that sort of thing (it's 12 years in the future for me). |

I understood about the appointment just being a time to get in line the first time but I'm not happy to hear that I'll have to go back later to pick it back up. That may mess me up something special since I'll actually need to go to work that day.

Isn't the parent company of the Limited there? That might be another reason to visit. I

You can find Dunkin Donuts at Ala Moana Shopping Center Food Court, in Honolulu. Or atleast it was there the last time I was.

I just received an e-mail from my future boss. My background check came through. Though, this is just a temporary job, it could lead to a permanent one at the same place. The pay is a raise from my old job too (though, I made more in Philly). So... I need to make a phone call, and find a start date.^ I now pass the job fairy to anyone who could use her help.:)
Time to go out and buy some diapers. |

Now that there's word of IAH-YEG returning, I wonder if either CO or AC will give IAH-YUL a shot. Can an AC CR9 even make it that far, or would it require an E-Jet?
I also wonder whether AC will launch IAH-YVR on its own metal (they already operate IAH-YYC/YYZ). They operate a lot of Asia/Pac flights from there, and it's right on the great-circle routing from Houston to East Asia. |

That's good of you. Whenever I see my UPS guy, I always offer him a bottled water. He/she seems very appreciative (I don't do this just on $ days, I do this on all days I see them; I have good UPS guys/ladies and giving them a cold $.20 bottle of water is a small gesture when they lug stuff inside and put my boxes wherever I want instead of outside which is all they're required to do).
