By the way, I saw a branded XJet the other day in SAV. Anyone have any clue what this was all about? Charter?

(Not flying for CO. It was at Gate 1, which I think is usually DL.)

Charter XE still branded as such. to my understanding during their branded ops days end, they announced some were still being left branded as their charter operations were profitable venture.

I'm not going to touch that ewr... elite access thread but I did want to make the following observation.

The little maroon jacket guy that seems to be a EWR fixture. Is it just me, or does he look like a gaunt Tatu from Fantasy Island. Da Plane, Da Plane!

I really don't understand people. There's probably more "elites" in EWR than non. Just pick the shortest darn line and go with it. Blue carpet or not.

I came in to my flight late yesterday but due to a downgrading of the aircraft 50% of the seats had been moved(739 to 738 all non elite, so all in the back with reassigned seats), I walked past everyone and went the blue carpet route, the stares I got, I thought I was going to get eyed to death.

Agent was ^ she was glad I knew my assigned seat and it wasn't needing reassignment :D Everyone else was giving her hell for not sitting next to their friend, or family, etc etc, a day in the life of a GA I am sure.

I saw a branded ExJet last week at ORD. IIRC, it was parked by a cluster of DL aircraft.

hrm, wonder if XE is running a schedule charter as an equip sub for one of the DL regionals.

hrmmmm, UA maybe, per wiki:

ExpressJet began a temporary contract with United Airlines to fly as a United Express carrier beginning June 2009. The contract is for approximately 10 aircraft that operate out of United's O'hare and Washington (Dulles)hub. The aircraft are flown in ExpressJet livery. The contract is expected to end on or about September 1, 2009.

A proper Shatner would have required jazz and I couldn't find the right instrumental jazz version of the song. The other thing that made it non-Shatner was I had to pace it out as doing it properly meant the pauses were too long.

That's probably it. SAV did a big gate reshuffle when they opened the extender, so Gate 1 might be UA now.

XJet is turning into bizarro I-Air.

Good morning box.

I've about had it with the grill guy down in the cafeteria. This was my third time ordering an omelet and the third time it was messed up in some fashion.:rolleyes::mad: Today's mess up was thinking that I ordered and egg white omelet. Another fellow was prepping his stuff for lunch and told him it wasn't and egg white omelet but he didn't believe it. When he asked me I said three times "3 egg omelete, not egg white" before he got it.:rolleyes::mad::rolleyes:

Nevermind. Someone beat me to it.

Morning Box.

Young Guns made my non-suck movie list solely due to its historical accuracy. Both of the movies might not be cinematically brilliant, but they are both a lot more historically correct than a lot of people think or want to admit.

Hookers pacing the Waldorf's lobby, eh? Wish I'd known there was something being organized.
