Me too. After growing up in the Southeast, where DL is king (and is what originally drove me to US) I don't know if I could ever give them my business, consistently, again. I know they're an entirely different operation then they were 10 years ago (especially in ATL) but fool me once...

CO joining Star is too great an asset for me to ignore. It's a significantly better alliance than :rolleyes:Team ("the kids who were picked last").

I am looking at GRK-IAH-FLL-FLL-EWR-SFO-SFO-IAH-GRK for $280!

ok, I am skipping EWR-SFO and going back to IAH for better upgrade opportunity, also leg stretching opportunity if i get stuck in exit row :D but I am headed to SFO, and will be taking the redeye out, see you there SFOGate :) End of next month.

Pricing is insanely expensive for August to the West Coast from DCA. BWI is a bit better.

Yeah, I noticed that. M fares are over $1k and UA Y fares are $500+ ex-LAX.

Well congrats on your wedding! ^

Our wedding was very small but like you, mostly people coming in from out of town (35 total at wedding, 60 at reception) Just dropped an info sheet in the invite and it was all good. No one got lost. (whew!). :)

I tooka quick look at Eweddings.. looks quite simple to use. 5 minutes to set up.. can't beat that! There are multiple reasons we didn't go the website route but I won't get into that here. :p

As of yesterday, there were some $350 all-in fares from BWI to SFO on DLNW for some later weekends in August, but I'm not sure whether they are still available (haven't checked yet today).

So, who's in for a bet? Will they add wifi to the NW DC-9s or 757s first? :D

Knowing from experience that DL has some ex-SQ/AT 757 aircraft that fly the over-water LAX-KOA routes equipped with the land-based internet, I would take that bet :p

Ummmm...anyone seeing fares like that out of anywhere between NYC and PHL?

I'm basically resigned to the fact that I'll finish the year at ~69-70K EQMs based on the "real trips" planned between now and 12/31...so clearly, one more transcon-ish MR needs to happen. And of course, it would be much more convenient to do it in August, when I still have a lot of unscheduled free time, especially midweek, than after September when I resume working 6-day weeks.

Haven't been able to do much better than PHL-IAH-PHX for about 4.5 cpm, i.e. no good. But maybe I'm missing something...

It feels a bit silly to drop $300 on IAH-DCA, but I didn't have anything booked for the entire month of August, and there's a pub up there stocked to the brim with Belgium's finest that has my name on it...

When? Canuck and I have been talking about making a little weekend getaway there for a while. I have access to free Box seats to see the Nats.

Good afternoon box. Just returned home from wet and miserable Titusville, NJ.

Add Blood Diamond and The Departed to the list. Two of the better movies I've seen in recent times. I am not a Leo DiCaprio fan, but I really thought he did a great job in both these movies.

Plus, Love Actually, if it's not on the list. Love that movie. Also, I saw The Duchess on the plane going to Australia, and really enjoyed that too, even though I thought I wouldn't. Kiera Knightley is really very good in that.

One of my friends from college is Kiera's absolute double. She's gorgeous.

Loved that movie. one the of the best I've seen. Many years ago, I worked with one of the real guys from the real "black hawk down" situation; he had left the services and joined J&J as a JMO management hire. I did some psych evals on him. He was a really interesting guy.

Roger that.

Canuck and I will be in Hawaii 5-0. Flying via IAH though, so maybe a PClub meet-up is in order on the 15th. :-:

Hmmm...I don't think I have anything booked yet that weekend, and DC is always a good visit.
