I got the HP one in Costco at the beginning of the year. Works for me! I only want it when I am doing MRs or vacationing so it has what I need. I'm not a "techie" so anything more sophisticated would be a total waste of money for me. |

Tim Hortons = blah. I tried them when I was in Canadia. Nothing special.

The box is slow today and I'm bored. Can you guys post some more to keep me entertained?

I found this thread good for a "duh" laugh - someone asked whether to take AF or AZ on an award ticket given that both schedules were satisfactory.

She's still in CVG. The Comair flight that was MY attempted to fly to LGA finally around 11:30am (8:40 sked departure time). At 12:21 I received an IM, "Emergency landing back in cincinnati." I get on the blower and manage to confirm with Delta that she's now booking on a mainline flight departing at 2:10pm. There is no agent at the gate when they finally make it back and deplane. She meanders to the Service Center and is greeted with a "Who did your husband call? Getting pax onto that flight was impossible. You should kiss him." And she was handed the BP. She's now off to find food and wait out the next hour in CVG. Convincing her that we really do need to fly to Florida again at the end of September is not going to be fun. |
So was in San Francisco for the weekend. Didn't know it coincided with the marathon...many people there .
Anyway, didn't plan on eating there, but was walking past The Stinking Rose during dinner time and there was no wait for a table . So we went in for dinner. I had the baby back ribs. It was decent. My friends each had the rabbit and lamb shank. The lamb shank was definitely better than the rabbit which was dry. I wasn't hungry enough to try the prime rib but I did see someone ordering it and it looked good. Overall, if it wasn't for the garlic the food is really just average. |

 this is the whole reason I was going to SFO, maybe I will have to hit the oysters and seafood instead.

Tried to pay my gas and water bill. The city-owned company "upgraded" their software, which means I cannot pay the bill online because the "upgrade" required assigning new account numbers to everyone ...

I think the entertaint is doing a "oh god, what did I do this weekend?" and stayed in bed to recover.

Well, if you like garlic, it is worth it to experience it. This is my second time at the restaurant, both times in SF (ain't fighting the traffic to go to the one in downtown LA ), and my first time there it was good. I can handle quite a bit of garlic so I will reach for the garlic dip/spread on the table and throw it on the mashed potatoes and dinner entree. Without it though, IMO the food is just average.

Downtown Houston getting nailed with rain... again. We need the rain, though, not falling on the concrete and asphalt garden.

Looks like my friend is going to score a VDB on FLL-IAH today. ^
