Nice! ^

Another book recommendation for sdm1130. I just heard an interview with the author of Shop Class as Soulcraft and was really impressed. The book talks about the value of manual labor and intellectualism, which is interesting to me, being a programmer and all.

^ to the Feds for finally arresting some of NJ's corrupt politicians!

Morning, box!

Finally have my head back out of the major school implementation. Almost done.

Getting back in the flight saddle again too. MAF-IAH-OMA on Monday next, return on Friday next. About time too.

@Mackieman, got your email, and am talking to someone about it.

Today I get to spend the day in exotic Kermit, TX.

^ Thanks! Certainly sounds intriguing...

From all of The Box recommendations and some of my own research, I ended up ordering 5 books and adding another 6-8 of them to my shopping cart for purchase at a later date. This should hold me over for a while...

Good morning box.

aloha box. :-:

Someone, somewhere in Atlanta is receiving inventory reports from flights last night and is rethinking the free beer / wine policy on Shuttle flights.

And to the gentleman across from me in row 19, to you sir, I say good for you. You don't let social norms or pressures influence you in any way. From your beige socks with a black slacks and black shoes to the shave that you apparently received from a blind barber with CP. You just don't give a $h!t and I commend that. When you fly, you're literally above everyone else. I hear ya brother.

And when you asked for three bottles of "the Cab" from the FA and proceeded to swig them directly out of the plastic "bottle" like you were taking nips of scotch from a flask, you sir, were the definition of class. I was in awe.

So, what time is your philosophy class this morning?

But of course.

ETA: I forgot the best part of this gentleman: he was listening to a Sony Walkman. Yes, he had a tape player.

In other news, the FA last night was Drop. Dead. Gorgeous. @:-) And I'm not just saying that because of the absurd amount of beer I consumed on that flight, or that she freely offered up beers to a few "select" pax during the Penalty Box hold.

One advantage of DL going to E175's for the Shuttle is you no longer have the Sr. Mama flight attendants (who were always great in everything but the looks dept).

The 'regional' carriers always have the young hotties, AE and XE have quite a few, even Colgan has some :)

but saying that, I saw 3 on recent mainline flights that were quite eye catching. None yesterday, but they were really friendly, on one of those stupid FLL flights where every passenger is king.

The people behind me were  so LOUD. Had headphones on, and were yelling at each other to talk.
Two of us from that flight saw each other in FLL and he said to me, hey weren't you sitting in front of those obnoxious loud people? I think I saw you giving them evil eye...yep.....then those two people walked into the Presidents Club

Well, "Delta" itself is too small on the aircraft.

One thing a bit funny I dd not have time to recount while in Miami, I was eating at the bar at Bourbon Steak, and there was a woman(quite stunning at least partial latino) and a man to my left, she was late 20's early 30's, he was mid 30's I'd guess...he was 'gay' and talking about how this relationship can't make it out to their circle of friends, and this didn't happen.....
