Good morning B:rolleyes:x :-:
|
Just booked my appointment at the passport agency to get extra pages. I'm guessing that I'll get some  from them since it is the same appointment as applying for a new one and I just need pages, but I'm much happier doing it this way than mailing it in. The fact that my appointment is at 8:30am and my flight departs that night shouldn't be a problem, right?

My friends and I are in the planning stages of a "bacon party". Every dish MUST be bacon based (including dessert). Ms. GadFly managed to find chocolate-dipped applewood bacon so I guess that'll be my dish.

For the cooking DO I'd probably make gazpacho to start and roasted pork belly with a whiskey sauce for the main.

Oh, something I forgot to add... Apparently a lot of dealerships are now only letting people put $5k down on a credit card, even if you have double that available in cash. So much for my 10k Starpoints in a single transaction.

I will be eating gazpacho tomorrow night with some maine lobster and kobe beef :D one interesting thought yesterday....we talked about xyzzy's place, and then scott said he could probably find a place in LAS, but what about the flight kitchen test area in CO HQ? Think we have enough in's there to make that happen? That could be neat to test our hand at an unknown to many of us, cooking in flight kitchen style! |

gazpacho is great as long as you start with good tomato, without that it is going to be a disaster.

Ugh! T-Mobile used to have a very functional website that did everything. Then they decided to go overboard with the Flash on a redesign, and since, I've had trouble getting billing details to load, one month I couldn't pay online, and now, I can't change my plan and optional services online. WTH? This is worse than any untested Continental.com release.

I'm not sure whether the required number of transactions is five or six. Strictly reading the rules it is five, but that means one of the transactions counts for both promos (10k and 15k). I went for six just to be sure. I think my average number of dollars spent per transaction was pretty close to $1.50, as I bought some things I actually needed. Oh -- and friends don't let friends shop at Wal-Mart.

If you are getting your passport expedited, they will give you a claim ticket and tell you to come back in the afternoon between 2:00-4:00, or something close to that. All that means is that you will get to stand in line with 100 other people at the Will Call window for up to two hours. When I picked mine up, I stood in line for 90 minutes, then at the window for another 15 minutes while the guy tried to locate my passport. So, you will get it back before you leave, but it's going to be time-consuming. |
