Unlikely to happen, IMO.

ASMs across the industry are down by the equivalent of a full carrier. It hasn't helped. I don't know why everyone thought it would since the cuts just hit the smaller routes rather than the big ones and the airlines are still competing cut-throat with each other on the other routes they still share.

What happened with the Air Borat card? I never heard this.

There was a woman (whom I believe was engaged and standing next to her fiancee at the time, though that may have been her sister) and a discussion of exploits in Central Asia so as to acquire the recognition of Air Astana Gold, possibly including murder for hire. I may have been present or playing wingman at some point during this fiasco. That being said, it was hysterical. Probably not quite as valuable as using the SPG card to cut to the front of the line for the bar, but still pretty awesome.

Also note that my recollection of the events is somewhat tainted by the haze of much beer.

I can't imagine it flying given that DL/NW has a hub at NRT.

Unless of course, DL is going to give that hub up, but that would be stupid in its own right.

Don't hate us for our many TATL flights.

For EZE and GIG (nonstop), you must come to us. :-:

Yes, hard to believe huh. He was wondering where I had been. I told him that I have yet to take any money from that casino so I gave up and he offered to give me a room this weekend and dinner at Ping's (my favorite chinese). Too bad I cant now that we have the dog up here.

But riding on it means you have to go through Newark.

Which is infinitely better than JFK.

I'd think that DL is trying to exploit and feed the NRT hub, not give it up.

Many KGB Agents had to be "dealt with," and many bears wrestled to obtain glorious Air Astana Gold Card.

True; my point was directed more at your comment about the discrepancy in quality between US and CO J products.

I would imagine, but attempting to purchase a stake rather than a marketing agreement are two different things. They don't need to buy a stake for an agreement, though they would have to contend with Oneworld.

I have the utmost faith that Delta can get DL Connection over there with CRJs to build a feeder network.

True, T4 is nice, though the lounge is outside of security so that's a big fat :td:

Once you're at JFK it's not so bad unless you're in T2/T3, but getting to JFK and getting out of JFK be it my car, train or air all sucks.

So when is DL going to announce DMQM? I'm still waiting.
