I got this one, too. Completely worthless since I won't have enough nights to get anything of use and I get gold from AmEx PLT.

Same here. If only the AX status also counted toward a few stays/nights ala the Marriott credit card that auto-credits 15 nights toward status.

The last time I cleared security at T3 in the early evening, the security lines were backed up so far that they were comingling with the check-in lines, which also were very long.

Amtrak question -- if I want to travel MET-BOS and earn CO EQM/miles can I buy an Amtrak ticket with a stop at NYP and credit the NYP-BOS segment to CO, or do I need two separate tickets?

I was just reviewing something and realized that I made a mistake upthread: AF operates out of T1 at JFK, not T4, so you won't be able to go see the Lamps unless you make your way to T1. I don't know if anyone else already pointed that out, but I just wanted to clarify that.

I believe you will need separate tickets. The fare should be the same, but that is not guaranteed, depending on the time and day you are traveling. Why would you bother crediting it to OnePass, in any case? I think it is generally more worthwhile to Amtrak unless you really need the EQM's, especially with the bonuses Amtrak has been giving lately, but YMMV.

Thanks for pointing that out. AF does, indeed, operate from T1.

Two tickets would cost more than one ticket with a stop.

For Acela business I'd get ~1kEQM/RDM from CO. What would I get from Amtrak?

jrzyshawn, you got this? I will try to find the one in T3 with food and send you a text since I will be there before you.

Sounds like a plan. I will call/text when I park the truck at JFK to figure out where to meet you.

The same, and BOS-MET is a named city-pair for Acela service.

Sept. 9 (Bloomberg) -- A Grupo Aeromexico SA airplane that flew to Mexico City from Cancun was hijacked by three people who demanded to speak with President Felipe Calderon, newspaper El Universal reported.

The hijackers are threatening to blow up the plane, which is on the tarmac at the Mexico City airport, the newspaper said.
