Yes -- but CO 1E indicated Amtrak has some specials. I wonder what they are. I'd get zero from CO if I ticket MET-BOS and try to credit to CO, as the rules say this:

Earn 500 Base Miles, 500 Elite Qualification Miles and one Elite Qualification Point per Business class segment or 750 Base Miles, 750 Elite Qualification Miles and two Elite Qualification Points per First class segment on Metroliner and Acela Express trains (no connecting flight required) between New York's Penn Station and the following train stations: Boston's South Station, MA; Boston's Back Bay Station, MA; Boston's Route 128 Station, MA; Washington D.C.

On teh BD Forum, I had suggested a DO in the Texas Hill Country at a hunting lease if the Lufty takeover of BD ever gets finalized. LH Y Seats obtained from ebay (or other Y seats dressed-up in LH Colors) would serve as targets. There was a surprising degree of interest (considering the official UK stance on private gun ownership) for blasting away at Lufty paraphernalia with assorted ballistic weaponry.

Verizon Call Assist works well :D is there not a 'restore' function on your voicemail? mine lets me undelete deleted mails during the next couple hours...

Remember, the promotion is for nights, not stays. :)

If you read the FAQ, it's really for both. The double nights promo specifically says a single stay of 3 nights will be counted as 2 stays and 6 nights.

Both stays and nights are counted if you elect the option for counting the nights for both 2009 and 2010 as well.

I was offered both, since I haven't requalified for Platinum yet. I chose to count for both 2009 and 2010, since I've already got the stays on the calendar I need for this year anyway. My partner, who is close to gold, got the offer to count double, which he should have no problem staying enough now to get gold.

Motorola didn't think of putting that feature on this hunk of junk.

According to the FAQ on the nights advance offer:

Do eligible stays also advance?
Yes. Registered members will have both their eligible nights and stays credited to their 2010 nights and stay earnings. Eligible stays must have a check-in no earlier than October 1, 2009, and no later than December 31, 2009.
So any remaining stays or nights in 2009 count toward renewing status in 2010.

I've got at least 10 stays scheduled before December 31. That will not only requalify for platinum this year, but put me almost halfway there for next year before January 1.

Verizon Call assist is a landline function, it actually emails me caller IDs if i want it to..

now sprint has mailed me to watch for something tomorrow:

# Premier customers, be among the first to know. Check back tomorrow for some exciting news!
# As a Sprint Premier customer, your loyalty deserves to be rewarded. Show me my Sprint Rewards
It better not be Palm Pixi announcement, I already know about that!

Am loving that I have 15 stays booked during the promo period. Will only need 10 2010 SPG stays to remain Plat qualified through February 2012. :D

I'm in a similar situation, with 10-15 stays during the promo period. I'll get started tomorrow at the W New Orleans.

ALCO pointed this out to me before

Most voicemail systems have an undelete function. I think it has to be used during the same voicemail session, though.

For Acela business I'd get ~1kEQM/RDM from CO. What would I get from Amtrak?

For Acela business, you would get 500 Amtrak points, plus whatever points bonus they are offering right now (it has been 100% pretty much all year; not sure if that is still the case after September 1), and 500 Amtrak "Rail" points (Amtrak EQM's - it takes 5000 Rail Points to earn Select status, and 10k for Select Plus).

What do I get if I book MET-NYP-BOS/BBY and credit the first segment to Amtrak and the second to CO? Can one even do that? I'd like to credit something to my Amtrak account, as I've not had any activity in it in a while. I'd also rather earn CO EQM.
