Yep. I'm still amazed CO manages to do as much as it can with the systems it has — CO.com has a lot more functionality than most other airline websites I regularly use, and it's not like CO is running start of the art systems on the back end.

Normally I'm the culprit that breaks it. :D

It does amaze me what they have and use but having been in the data center of a few other airlines, they are all just as bad. Some of those data centers should just be handed to the Smithsonian given the antiques they are using.

Almost done with SMF. Almost.

Wait - can it be that the 2010 OnePass changes aren't actually all that bad? Hopefully there are no bombs that they're waiting to drop...

the drop to 125 % is kinda  especially if it applies to EQMs

Agreed. But, dropping fees for Plats and allowing 100% EQMs through all channels are nice changes. Additionally, the Star reward chart doesn't look nearly as scary as I had thought it would.

I was not expecting it to be that bad, most of the *A charts are very similar with variations on some sectors. The 100% EQM is nice , although most of my CO travel seems to be booked on co.com lately.

Other thoughts:

1) Calling NRT a Tokyo airport is like calling PIT part of Cleveland.

3) It is stunning to see Korean fill a 744 for a flight to NRT on a Saturday afternoon.

ICN/Seoul is not quite as bad as NRT/Tokyo, but only about 15 minutes different. Both are pretty ridiculous.

And I don't get how the Koreans can load a PACKED 744 faster than a US-based domestic carrier can load a 75% full 737. So annoying.

That works too, though I have to say I like the speed of the LIRR trains.

It'll be faster to take the E from JFK since you don't have to back-track.

Yup. They are phenomenal.

I actually like the looks of things, for the most part. Europe and Hawaii both went up a bit, but not too bad. RTW staying the same is a huge boon. Ditto for 2-cabin pointy end being business across the board (other than VS to Africa) if I'm reading it correctly.

Yea!!! No more getting screwed by having to use AMEX Travel for work :)

I remember when the E train had the newest stuff around before. Then they put the refurbished old stuff, some of which is older than me, on the line. Now back to new w/ the LCD panels showing the remaining station stops. They still have a complete lack of subway maps in the cars of course.

After talking to Scott about some of the setup, I'm surprised, but on the other hand, they've got some smart folks working for them.

As for the 2010 changes, they look alright, I'm a little disappointed to see earning on US Helicopter and Emirates going away.

Yeah, that is a shame. I was hoping to try USH on the way to JFK in December and was thinking of using Emirates to CPT next year. :(

Now, I need to book a USH flight before October 27...

Two in every car on every train on every line. The new E trains are no different.
