Congrats on the AMS-MEM flight. DL's CR9's have a more comfortable seat than the NW CR9's check the operator of the flight. ASA, Skywest and Comair all have the DL seat.

Still sitting at EWR. Train is still 5 minutes away. Have I mentioned that I hate NJT's schedule? |

The NW CR9 F seats are not THAT bad and certainly much better than alternatives like sitting in the back or being on a CR2 where there is no front cabin.

Looks like my DL flight tonight is prime for VDB'ing. Unfortunately the only flight that's later is just as sold out, and I have to travel tonight. Maybe I'll get lucky, though… Last time I was on DL and this happened they stuck me on the next flight, which was oversold too, and then just bumped people off it to get me the seat.

I was from the A310 to JFK's taxi-stand at T-4 in 15 minutes flat. It's about the quickest I have ever transited immigration/customs anywhere, ever. There was no cab line, either, and traffic on the Van Wyck wasn't too bad.
Assuming my LGA-CLE-IAH goes well, I should consider buying a lottery ticket.

I've made similar time coming in on CM before. JFK is horrendous for DL and only moderately intolerable for everyone else. Flying on B6, KE, UA or AA isn't a particularly bad airport experience at all there. |

PH ZRH is pretty (my previous word was redacted).

Might not have to pay for food again until I get home, depending upon what the AF ZRH Lounge and various DL JFK SCs have tomorrow - yesterday, JFK B12 had a really good seafood salad, finger sandwiches, mousse, fruit, bread, etc.

I need some Box input on SPG properties In San Francisco. Any thoughts between the Palace Hotel, W or one of the Westins? I think I'm leaning towards the Westin St. Francis...
Also, has anyone stayed at the Sheraton Sonoma County in Petaluma? The Westin Verasa Napa is not available and this seems like the next best SPG option in the Sonoma/Napa area. Stayed at The place twice-nothing really special in my book. Have enjoyed several stays at the Saint Francis

Don't get us (the four FTers who were on that flight) started on the absolute disaster that's Passport Control and Baggage Control at JFK. Very apparent that the staff and airport didn't know their elbows from their *****.

In my mind, this is the only reason needed by anyone to avoid JFK. I wouldn't fly out of JFK unless I had a gun to my head...and even then, I would seriously consider saying no.
ETA: The last time I transited JFK was 2000 and 2001. On December 26th of this year, I will be proudly JFK-free for nine years. |
