In fact, CO's domestic F seat is better. The leg-rest on the OK seats only extends about 4" max, so unless you are shorter than 5'1", it is completely useless when extended.

Am glad I got the A310, and very glad it was a day flight. Comical seat aside, the service and food onboard were fine. I think I drank them dry of nice Moravian white wine.

Glad to see you made it back alive. :) Hopefully you found some good drinking establishments that we can visit in January!

Did you stay at the Sheraton? How was it?

The Sheraton is fantastic. It is about a 15min walk from Old Town Square, but the walk there is through pleasant neighborhoods. Also, they upgraded me to a very nice corner suite. Club Lounge is also open on weekends, and has a pretty good breakfast. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

I found some nice pubs that we could try out. Most pubs there have decent food (if you like German/Bohemian food... loads of meat). Also, there's a "Medieval" restaurant there that I didn't get a chance to try on this trip, but gets good reviews. We walked past it, and it looked pretty good.

One of the establishments I visited in ZRH had "Scotch and Tennessee" as a category in the beverage list. Nice to know there are some Swiss residents who think "Jack Daniels" then they hear Tennessee  ...

hey now, jack is a great cheap steak marinade! :D

I would have had some recommendations for you if you had gone to GVA, for irish/british genre at least ;)

And speaking of Sheraton (if anyone selected the Sheraton Neues Schloss ZRH as part of the Free Weekend / ZRH mistake fare); the hotel is adjacent to the Park Hyatt and very near the lake. Didn't enter, so I can't comment on the inconsistent FT reviews.

With a backpack or small bag, easily walkable from Stadelhofen or the Zurich HB. I bought the 24-hour Swiss Pass for 19 CHF (rail and museums) described over in Community Buzz.

Jack is good to make a barbecue glaze as well. Of course, there are much better things in Tennessee than Jack.

And I had a nice ZRH experience - phenomenal bratwurst, watched some soccer, walked around everywhere, got some running in, etc.

Just landed at EWR to a voice mail saying we would get a $250 voucher because they would have oversold by 1.

Direct TV was nice but I think I would rather have internet. Its annoying when most channels play the same show over and over.

November trip booked — managed to get ATL-EWR-BRU, AMS-MEM-ATL booked on Saver Pass BusinessFirst award tickets for both of us. Since I first looked, DL/NW opened up award availability in the front cabin on AMS-MEM, which allows us to leave AMS at 2:30 PM as opposed to 8:30 AM for the DTW flight I originally wanted. When I booked the ticket, we're the only two assigned seats on the AMS-MEM flight in the front cabin.

Only downside is the DL CR9 on MEM-ATL, but it's a short flight, and we were able to confirm into the front cabin for all four segments. We also have to fly DL to EWR, but that's not a big deal either, and we have a nice long layover with plenty of time to deal with the stupidity of having to change terminals and clear security a second time.

Yes, they most certainly do.

Congrats on the AMS-MEM flight. DL's CR9's have a more comfortable seat than the NW CR9's check the operator of the flight. ASA, Skywest and Comair all have the DL seat.

Don't mention that in the UA forum.

Star Alliance either backed off of or halted the eradication of the downloadable version of the RTW tool. I just downloaded it for the laptop in the process of migrating everything over from my old desktop despite their pronouncement of its demise on Sept. 1. :-:
