Every airline has to endure the horrible taxiway logjams to some degree. My dislike of JFK has less roots in the operational and more in the logistical. I won't drive 3 hours to fly, or drive 3+ hours to come home from my flight. I'd sooner leave from EWR and connect somewhere in Europe. I wouldn't drive myself. For early morning flights (e.g., the day flight to London) I can justify the cost of a car service if I'm saving more $ for the client; it's a 2-hour drive at 4:30 am...

ZRH is the least chaotic fairly large airport I've ever experienced - that makes the compare/contrast with JFK much more profound.
Here's some of the awards ZRH has earned; I don't want to know the dishonors bestowed upon JFK. |
